2 What s Happening! OPEN HOUSE. Our January Open House is scheduled for tomorrow, January 24. We re so excited to welcome prospective families on campus, including your families and friends! Thanks so much to all of you for sharing your love of Sacred Heart! RE-ENROLLMENT. Re-enrollment of current students for the school year is underway and will continue through February 9th. Parents have received an from Mr. Laird regarding re-enrollment and may visit the school website here for more information on the RenWeb re-enrollment process. Please see page 4 for our Home & School update. Plans for our annual Tiger Gala are in full swing! See pages 5 and 6 for more information! HOMEWORK REQUESTS. Parents, please be reminded that homework requests must be received via phone call to the main office ( ) by 8:15 a.m. on the morning of the absence for the request to be processed that day. Thank you so much. SCHOOL LITURGY. Our weekly school liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 8 a.m. Mass leaders are students in 4A (Boone). Students, remember your dress uniforms and don t forget to bring an item for the Sacred Heart of Jesus St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Parents, you are always invited to attend our school liturgies. SPIRIT DRESS. We ll enjoy our monthly Spirit Dress Day on Friday, January 26. Students may wear one of three spirit shirts (grey with tiger on back; or navy blue with theme Growing Hearts Alive in Christ ; or white with theme In our hearts... ) with long blue or black jeans (loose fitting with no holes) or with uniform pants (shorts or long pants). Uniform rules still apply to shoes, socks, and outerwear on Spirit Dress Days. TIGER TRACKS Tiger Tracks have been distributed. If you believe you ordered a yearbook but didn t receive it, please contact Lisa Cossé (LCosse@SacredHeartBR.com). Also, we have additional yearbooks available to purchase for $45! Lisa with your request (include your child s name, grade, and section). Follow-up your with payment to school ($45 check payable to Sacred Heart School with Tiger Tracks in memo line). Please send payment to Lisa Cossé. We don t have many extras, so Lisa today and be the first in line! COLLECTING CLEANING SUPPLIES FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK. We are once again collecting cleaning supplies for Catholic Schools Week, as requested by the Catholic Schools Office. Donations will be received through Tuesday, January 30th. Suggested items include cleaning agents, cleaning rags, sponges, brushes, brooms, mops, etc. These donations benefit Catholic Charities. Questions? The Catholic High School cheerleaders will be hosting a cheerleader clinic on Sunday, March 4, 1 until 3 p.m. The clinic is open to all girls in first through fifth grades. The cost to attend the clinic is $25 per girl and includes a t-shirt and snack. Please register online by clicking here or you may contact Jennifer Thibodeaux or Erin Hart ( ). BOYS BASKETBALL PICTURES. Boys basktball pictures for our third, fourth, and fifth grade teams will be Wednesday, January 31, Sacred Heart of Jesus School Gym. Third grade pictures are at 5 p.m.; fourth grade pictures are at 5:20 p.m.; fifth grade pictures are at 5:40 p.m. Order envelopes and information sheets are going home TODAY with these athletes. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade team pictures are Wednesday, February 7. Order envelopes and information sheets will go home with these athletes on Tuesday, January 30. Questions? 4 Upcoming Events: January 24 - Open House Save The Date Our next Parent Social will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. The theme is Vision for the Future. This is an Adults only social. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some social time together and discuss the bright future of our school! Childcare will not be provided for this evening. Important Spots are still available for the Sacred Heart annual Mom s Night Out on Friday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the home of Corrie Hester (1652 Richland Avenue). If you would like to join the fun, a few spots are still available for $75.00 per person. If you purchased a ticket at the 2017 auction, but you now have a conflict, feel free to offer your spot to a friend or a teacher.
