2 Mother s Day Out is registering! MDO is now accepting registration for the fall. This is a great developmental program for kids ages 6 months-5 years old. Please call Mary Gaines in the parish office at extension 16 if you have any questions about this positive ministry or would like to register your child. Saint Michael Youth Ministry St. Michael would like to welcome Mary Rak to the staff as our new Middle School Youth Ministry coordinator. We are sure she is going to do a fabulous job guiding our youth. We offer her our congratulations and full support. The EDGE, catechesis for middle school youth, will begin September 15 from 6:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Youth must be registered in order to participate. Registration may be done any time Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions or wish to volunteer to help with The EDGE or other middle school youth ministry activities, please contact Mary Rak at ext. 14. There will also be an informational/safe environment training for all those interested in volunteering with this ministry on September 8 th at 7 p.m. in 110/120. Please make plans to attend. Registration for the upcoming LifeTeen year is now under way! Registration is available Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm in the parish office; with the exception of the lunch hour from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Please come and fill out paperwork so your teen can participate in the fun activities we have planned. The new semester will start on Sunday September 12th. We ask that all teens attend the 6pm mass and sit in the LifeTeen section. We will then have a lesson after mass followed by dinner. A group open to individuals who are no longer in high school and are looking for a group of cool young adults to hang with while trying to live a Chirst-Centered Life!! This is a group that can help provide support for being a radical for Christ. This is an opportunity to take the next step toward adding more growth and wisdom to your own personal relationship with God. What are the requirements? Anyone who no longer attends high school is elligible. This means those who either went straight to working or have attended or are attending college around the Dallas area.

They will be serving coffee, juice, breakfast tacos, and pastries. Come enjoy some good food and friendly fellowship. Come Have Supper with St. Maximilian Kolbe! On Tuesday, August 31, Father Joseph will give a talk on St. Maximilian Kolbe. He was an amazing Franciscan priest, martyr at Auschwitz, and is the patron saint of families, pro-life, and our difficult century. Potluck dinner will begin at 7 p.m. in rooms 110/120, and Father will begin speaking at 7:30. Come learn about this fascinating saint who greatly influenced Pope John Paul II and who contributed much to our understanding of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our ARMED FORCES WALL OF HONOR display in the narthex currently has 92 plaques honoring our registered parishioners and/or their immediate family members who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Here are the recent additions to the display. Robert G. Calvert, John S. Cizek, Margarito Correa, Charles H. McDernott, Francis G. Sosing, Jeremy M. Williams and Kim Williams. If you know of anyone eligible and would like to add to this display, there are applications on the right side of the display in the narthex.
