2 14 th annual Staten Island Angel Award 2018 The Joseph Maffeo Foundation Proudly present The Fourteenth Annual Staten Island Angel Award Honoring Frank Mora Project Planning Manager, Plant Operations at Staten Island University Hospital Frank began his career at Staten Island University Hospital back in 2004 as the Project Planning Manager in the Plant Operations Department. Since the construction of the Pediatric Play Room in 2007; he has been a major driving-force behind the Joseph Maffeo Children s Programs. The playroom, complete with a life-sized replica of a fire truck in the North Campus Pediatric Unit, was the first phase of the renovation to create a child-friendly environment where youngsters could recover in a positive, relaxed, and nurturing atmosphere. The colorful transformation provided state-of-the-art patient rooms, a pediatric intensive care unit, and nurses stations, as well as a new parent waiting area. His commitment and compassion for the Foundation has continued to grow each year as we explore new projects. We are grateful for his dedication to improving Staten Island. Winnie the Pooh Parents eagerly anticipate bringing their newborn home, so it can be frightening if their baby is admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit. To enhance the capability and care, help us continue our efforts as we focus on the construction of the brand new Joseph Maffeo Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU delivers the latest in life-saving technologies and treatments along with the highly attentive care these tiny babies need.
