For fifteen years now, the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield and the Edmonton Mayfield Rotary Charitable Society have teamed up to present the "FORK IT OVER" fundraiser. Each of the host organizations needs the funds to continue their work. We look forward to another successful event in 2016 and hope that you will assist us. Join us this year for a Mexican Fiesta, an escape from the realities of an Edmonton winter. FORK IT OVER is a fun evening of dinner, tequila and cerveza, a mariachi band and featuring entertainment by That Guy Gery Shubert. Tickets are only $125 per person, with many auction dinners and other items. Last year s auction items ranged from Hawaiian and Arizona vacations, to Edmonton Oilers tickets, to restaurant dining vouchers, hotel accommodation, plus much more. One lucky person will leave the event with a valuable door prize, a trip for two to Mexico. The event is being held at the Edmonton Marriott at River Cree Resort in Edmonton on Friday February 26, By donating an item and/or becoming a sponsor, you join us in providing vital services to the community. Proceeds from this event are used to fund such programs as providing nutritious meals to over 200 students at Brightview Elementary School as part of the school s Food for Thought program (a meal which may be the only one some of the students receive that day); supporting U School (a one week life-changing University experience for grade 4 to 9 students from high needs schools, Boyle Street Christmas, as well as medical missions to developing countries in Africa, Central and South America. In addition, the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield is proud to support Myeloma Alberta Support Society, an organization that funds research conducted at the U of A and the Cross Cancer Institute. The research will provide improved treatments for patients with Myeloma with a goal to extend lives and improve the quality of life for those afflicted with the disease. You can become a partner in one of several ways: By attending the event and joining us for an enjoyable evening or by donating a dinner certificate, accommodation, or other item for inclusion in our auction (see Page 1.1, 1.2); By becoming a sponsor (see Page 2) By making a cash donation or donation of Aeroplan or other loyalty program points (see Page 3) If you can assist in this, please be kind enough to contact me or to mail the certificate and the attached form to me prior to December 21st, so that your establishment can be listed in our program. Here are some ways to get involved: Cash Donations Cash donations will be accepted for any dollar amount, and donors will receive a charitable donation receipt.
