Voting for homecoming queen and king will open on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 8 a.m. Homecoming Week continues with Eagle Roundup, events Texas A&M University-Texarkana s 2016 Homecoming Week fun will continue with the 2016 Eagle Roundup: A Celebration of Distinguished Alumni and Faculty on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in Eagle Hall of the University Center. Tickets are available from University Advancement for a $35 donation to the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Alumni Association. At 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, there will be a senior torchlight parade and bonfire on the University Center lawn. On Friday, Sept. 29, there will be a Midnight Madness baseball scrimmage at 6 p.m. at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park. At 8 p.m., there will be a Homecoming Dance in Eagle Hall of the University Center. The Eagle Chili Fest and Tailgate Party is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Bringle Lake Village parking lot. The women s soccer match begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Eagle Field, and the homecoming queen and king will be announced at 6:30 p.m. The men s soccer match will get underway at 7 p.m. Homecoming T-shirts are available for purchase for $10 in the Business Office in the University Center.

Baseball team sets scrimmage, Midnight Madness The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles baseball team will have a 14-inning scrimmage with Northeast Texas Community College at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park. On Friday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m., the Eagles will host Midnight Madness that will consist of a practice warmup and a short maroon-navy scrimmage in celebration of the Homecoming festivities.

Call for Proposals 2017 Teaching with Technology Conference Open to the Entire Texas A&M University System 13th Annual 2017 Teaching with Technology Conference Coordinated by Instructional Technology Services at Texas A&M University Wednesday, March 1 & Thursday, March Memorial Student Center (Gates Ballroom) its.tamu.edu/twtc Instructional Technology Services at Texas A&M University is once again pleased to coordinate another A&M System-wide two-day event for sharing the latest trends and topics in instructional technology. Plan to be an integral part of it by submitting a presentation proposal and sharing your knowledge with colleagues. This year s theme is Activating Student Learning, with special emphasis on active, multi-disciplinary learning and inclusive teaching approaches that encourage student motivation. Presentations will cover a wide range of teaching and learning topics in over 50 sessions. Plus, the schedule will feature two keynote presentations from leaders in higher education.
