3 From the Desk of the Senior Regent We have had a good month with all the committees planning events for this year. We are going to have a good year with all working together to make our lodge a fun place to visit. We have planned some exciting things and they will be announced as soon as we have the approval from our LOOM officers. We need to plan more family functions for all ages and are working toward that goal. Our chapter is also planning some community services that will benefit our community. Each member of the WOTM are assigned to a committee to help out. This does not mean you can't help out on all committees if you desire and I'm sure the help will be appreciated. Remember our goal and theme for this year is 'Create Some Interest'. We still have the policy in place if you sponsor 2 members in a year, your dues will be paid for the next year. So this will be a benefit to each of us as well as help us to increase our membership. Look around you and if you notice that a member has not been at the lodge in a while, give them a call and let them know we miss them. I would like to extend a special thank you to all our sponsors for inviting your friends and family to join. We enrolled 15 new members in the month of June. Way to go ladies. Remember lets all work together to 'Create Some Interest' and have some fun as we make new friends. Annette McIntosh Senior Regent

7 Greetings from your Governor The hot temperatures are with us! Summer has arrived in full force. Come and enjoy the Lodge to get out of the heat and enjoy good company. The food is always great, and the drinks are cold. We need to encourage all of our members to take advantage of their membership. As I mentioned last month we are working on having more Community Service projects as well as more Family Activities. Donna Gandy has stepped forward and is planning a back to school party for the kids in August. She will be supplying everyone with the details. To make this event a success and help our kids, we will need everyone to donate the needed school supplies we will be giving to the kids. We would appreciate as many donations as possible. We are also planning to sponsor a girls and a boys youth soccer team this fall. In the spirit of the Moose tradition I am proud when we support the community and provide for our families. From June 30 th to July 6 th I will be representing you at the Moose International Conference in Anaheim, California. Hopefully, I will learn of any new programs and initiatives Moose International is implementing and be able to bring that information back to our Lodge. I am sure many of our members don t realize all of the requirements Moose International require us to do to allow us to stay in good standing. To meet these requirements is a significant undertaking for your Board of Officers. The next Moose Legion Celebration will be at the Fort Walton Lodge July 16 th and 17 th. I encourage everyone to attend and enjoy the fun times. Also, it is not too early to be looking ahead to the Moose Legion Celebration which will be held in Tallahassee October 8 th and 9 th. We continue with our ongoing maintenance and repair projects in the Lodge. Many of these projects are not that visible, however they are essential to keep the Lodge in good condition. Thanks to all of those that worked on these undertakings. It is appreciated! In the next few months we are planning other projects some of which will be more apparent. A special thanks to Donna Gandy for handling the Mother s Day and Father s Day breakfast buffet/brunch. We had good attendance, and the food was great. Also, a hearty thanks to those members who cook or work in the kitchen when we have meals. Take the time to thank them for donating their time and the excellent food. Bob Greer, Governor
