2 WOTM Committee Corner Effective May 1, Moose International has re-structured the committees into only four Chapter Development Committees and one Higher Degree Committee. Throughout the year, each calendar month is focused on a specific committee, and that committee chair will work with her committee members to plan the fundraisers and FUN-RAISERS (activities) for those respective months. Every WOTM co-worker is placed on a Chapter Development Committee, so watch for your committee assignment and designated Committee Planning Meeting to be announced in May! Congratulations to the Committee Chairmen, appointed by Senior Regent: Membership/Retention Committee Community Service Committee Sports/Activities Committee Mooseheart/Moosehaven Committee Higher Degree Committee Myra Rhoden, Chair Linda Gunter, Chair Tina Crayton, Chair Marci DeCamp, Chair Vernell Strumski, Chair MEMORIAL SERVICE For All DECEASED LOOM & WOTM MEMBERS There will be a Memorial Service held in the Social Quarters on Sunday May 31 1:00 PM for those LOOM & WOTM Members who have passed during the last fiscal year ending April 30, Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this short service and to pay tribute to our Brothers & Sisters who are no longer with us. Everyone is asked to bring snacks or finger foods which will be served after the service.
3 Greetings from your Governor As the New Year begins, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve the membership at Tallahassee Moose Lodge 1075 as your Governor. I will work hard and put in the time needed to do the best job possible for our lodge. As I have said before, it really doesn't matter which hat we wear. What matters is what we do for our children at Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven as well as our local charities. This in turn requires hard work and every member working together as a team. If you are a new member or old member and would like to be involved just ask someone. There is always something to do. We need volunteers in bingo on Friday or Sunday, help in the kitchen cooking, serving and cleaning up. Maybe you have maintenance experience which we can always use. Again, there is always something to do. I think you'll find it is rewarding being part of the team and your participation will enhance your membership experience. We will be having a Memorial Service on Sunday, May 31st at 1:00 PM in the Social Quarters for our members that passed away this past fiscal year ending April 30 th. We will also be having a Memorial Day cookout and corn hole tournament on Memorial Day, Monday May 25 th. The cookout will be starting around 1:00 PM and the corn hole tournament will follow. We will have hamburgers for $3 and hotdogs for a $1. There will be a sign up sheet in the social quarters where members can sign up to bring side dishes or deserts. The entry fee for the corn hole tournament will be $5 per participant. These fees will given away to the winners. Two member teams will be formed by a blind draw. Once again, thank you for allowing me to serve as your Governor this year. Fraternally, Carl Crayton Governor
