Cranberry Rotary: Eight scholarships up to $1,500 each for students planning to attend a fouryear college or university, technical college, community college, or vocational school word essay. Hungarian Beneficial Society: $1,000 scholarship for students planning to attend a two or fouryear college/university or vocational school; one page typewritten, double-spaced essay. Essay topic If high school seniors had to take a course called Basic Life Skills, what do you think the course should cover and why? Zelienople American Legion: $1,000 award. Submit a one-page typewritten essay, doublespaced. Essay question ONE wish is granted to you. What would it be and what is the outcome?

Sunrise Rotary Jerry Schreibeis Memorial IUP Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship for students planning to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in an approved full-time multi-year program (for at least the full academic year 2018/2019). Submission of a 500 word essay on future academic plans, career plans and community involvement. Why community involvement is important and how you plan to stay involved in your community going forward. Cranberry Twp. Sunrise Rotary - Frank Petrone Memorial Scholarship: One $1,000 renewable scholarship ($1,000 each year over 4 years of program) for students planning to pursue an accredited 4- year academic degree program at a college or university within the United States. Student must maintain an average GPA pf 3.50 or above each of the 4 years. Submission of a 1,000 word essay on What community need do you see arising in Cranberry Twp. in the future and how would you address the need? Additional paragraphs on: future academic plans, career plans and community involvement. Why community involvement is important and how you plan to stay involved in your community going forward. Rotary Meeting each year (years 2 4) to report on experiences and progress. In order for the recipient of this scholarship to receive the subsequent $1,000 award payments the student must: a) Remain in an accredited degree program at a college or university within the United States; b) Maintain an average GPA of 3.75 or above each of the 4 years; c) Provide proof from the school there have been no behavioral or attendance issues and no suspensions during each year; and d) Appear at a minimum of 1 Cranberry Twp. CYP Music Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for students majoring in vocal music, vocal music education, sacred music or musical theater at a four-year college or university. Preference given to members of either YACK or CYP Performing groups, the spin-off groups of the original Christian Youth Productions group, 500 word essay. Essay topic What Music Means to Me. Evans City Lions Club: $500 scholarship in the names of Carl and Ida Kinsey, Rocco Viola, and Evans City Lions, for students who live within the and zip codes, emphasis on financial need, 300 word essay. Essay topic State your qualities, accomplishments, and objectives of further education, which would make you a good choice for this scholarship. Also, indicate any special financial circumstances, which should be considered. Gregory E. Weimer Memorial Scholarship One $1,000 renewable scholarship ($1000 each year for two or four years of program) for students planning to attend a four-year college or university or a two-year college. Provided the student maintains a cumulative 3.2 GPA and provides a transcript at the end of each academic year. To be eligible, students must rank in the top 20% of their class, have lettered in at least one sport and been involved in one school musical organization (band, chorus, school musical) during their senior year. Student must have read at least ten books in the past year (outside of school assignments) and attach a list of the titles and authors along with the name of college or university you are planning to attend. Students must read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn and write an essay on one of three topics. o If you were given the chance to leave Taker civilization and become a Leaver, would you do it? Why or why not? o Can we find a sustainable Middle Way between Taker and Leaver culture? Can we live on the earth without destroying it? o Propose a personal method which you could enact to have a positive Leaver effect on the world today. Essay question What do you think is good and what is bad about the new Tax Laws? Mars Rod and Gun Club: One $500 scholarship for any student planning to attend any type of post-secondary school. Submit a brief, legible, grammatically correct essay with no spelling errors. Essay Topic Describe why you chose this vocation and how this scholarship will help you achieve your goal(s).you must live in the Seneca Valley School District. Miracle League of Southwestern PA Scholarships: One $500 scholarship for a female senior and one $500 scholarship for a male senior. Submit a one page typed essay on the following topics: o If you have been a volunteer in the Miracle League of Southwestern PA tell us how this experience has been rewarding to you; o If you participated in any fundraising efforts or activities to support the Miracle League of Southwestern PA tell us about the results and your motivation to support the Miracle League of Southwestern PA in this way; and/or o Tell us how your involvement with the Miracle League of Southwestern PA changed you or made you appreciate the challenges and lives of the Miracle League of Southwestern PA players. Nikki Renaud Memorial Scholarship: For students pursuing a career in criminology or a related field, $500 award, 300 word handwritten essay. NexTier Bank Scholarship: For students majoring in a business-related field, $1,000 award, minimum 3.5 cumulative QPA required, emphasis on community involvement, 300 word essay. SV Cheerleading/Spirit of SV: Open to varsity cheerleaders/dance team, two $500 awards, minimum 3.0 cumulative QPA required, an official transcript and 500 word essay are required. Minimum of one scholarship to be awarded. Essay question Cheerleaders are often thought of as the ambassadors of the school. How have you fulfilled this role at Seneca Valley? Seneca Valley Track and Field Scholarship: Two $500 awards (one female, one male) for students who have participated in track and field at Seneca Valley (minimum of three years, including their senior year) and have attended 95% of the practices, followed all rules of the program and the SV Track and Field commitment contract, plan to attend a four-year college or university, minimum 3.0 cumulative QPA required, 500 word essay.
