Based on Scholastic ability, Character, Activities and completed application and personal letter Applications available at ** Deadline: February 1, 2016 National O.S.I.A. Scholarship U.S. citizens of Italian descent (at least one Italian or Italian-American grandparent) enrolled in an under-graduate or graduate program at a fouryear, accredited academic institution for the 2016 Fall term. Previous SIF scholarship winners are not eligible. (Please note: Additional eligibility requirements may apply to specific scholarships.) Fitzgerald Scholarship Program Open to all graduating high school seniors Students should have a B average or better and participate in community, school or afterschool activities. Students must submit an original essay, a copy of transcript and a recommendation form a guidance counselor, teacher or civic leader. 2 Red Pine Scholarship High School seniors who plan on going onto college in fall 2016 Criteria: Must come from middle income families Strong academic record or have shown significant improvement over time Be planning on enrolling as a freshman at a competitive 4 year college in fall 2016 Please see link: ** Deadline: February 12, 2016 Yawkey Scholarship Program 4 year renewable scholarship. A Yawkey advisor for each student to provide support throughout the 4 years of college. Criteria U.S. citizen From a low income family w/unmet financial need. Current senior at an accredited high school in Massachusetts Accepted to and plans t attend a competitive private 4 year college Involved in balance of community. School, and work activities. Exhibit leadership potential and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to our community both present & future. 3 The Rebekah Assembly of Massachusetts Independent order of ODD Fellows Offered to all Seniors who plan to further their education by attending a 2 or 4 year college program. The following information must accompany your application 1. Need 2 educational letters of reference 2. Academic record from high School 3. Personal statement explaining goals, financial status, members of family etc. Applications available in the guidance office ** Deadline: March 15, 2016 Hajjar Parents Association Scholarship Open to students who have completed grades 1-5 at the Hajjar Elementary School in Billerica. Applications are available in the Guidance office ** Deadline: March 24, Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071 Scholarship is funded through the Billerica Elks Organization for graduating seniors planning on attending college. The applicant must have a parent or grandparent who is a current member of the Billerica Elks. Applications are available in the guidance office ** Deadline: March 31, 2016 Hajjar Parents Association Scholarship Open to residents of Billerica that have participated for at least two years in a varsity sport at Shawsheen and plan to attend a four-year college. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be submitted by April 15, DITSON SCHOOL ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Open to residents of Billerica that attended the Ditson School for at least three years and plan to continue their education. Applications are available in the Guidance office ** Deadline: April 1, 2016 TEWKSBURY YOUTH FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING Open to residents of Tewksbury that participated in Tewksbury Youth Football for at least 5 years. May be used for tools or equipment, or for a 2 or 4 year college. Applications are available in the Guidance office and must be postmarked by April 1, 2016.

4 THE STEPHEN PHILLIPS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND This scholarship offers renewable, 4 year scholarships to students from New England with financial need who displays academic excellence, a desire to help others, good character, and a strong work ethic. The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded about $1.8 million to Massachusetts students for the school year. 100 new recipients from Massachusetts received $562,00 in awards 222 renewing students received $1.3 million in awards The criteria includes : Academic excellence and aptitude -GPA of 3.0 or higher, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, demonstrate skilled writing ability, citizenship, character and serious-mindedness- demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society both present and future, be involved in a balance of community and school activities, earn money for college thru part time work, pursue goals and aspirations w/ integrity, resolution, self-discipline and judgment and financial need. ** Deadline: April 10, 2016 ST. THERESA WOMEN S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Applicant must be a member of St. Theresa s Parish and must have done volunteer work in the Parish Community. Check will be sent directly to student upon receipt of first semester grades and verification of enrollment for second semester\ Applications available in the Guidance Office ** Deadline: April 10, 2016 SEAN C. ELMORE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Open to residents of Billerica that have participated for at least two years in a varsity sport at Shawsheen and plan to attend a four-year college. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.. KATHI GLAVIN HIGGINS SCHOLARSHIP Open to Billerica residents only. Applications will be forwarded to Mr. Joseph Higgins with the following criteria: 1. a special needs student (on an IEP or previous IEP) who intends to go to a 4 year college; 2. a student who intends to be a special needs teacher; or 3. a student who intends to be a teacher. Check will be presented at Scholarship Night.

5 Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Given to an outstanding high school graduate who demonstrates commitment to his/her community as well as academic achievement. Recipient is a child of a SVTHS graduate, but does not necessarily need to be a SVTHS graduate themselves. Parent/Guardian must be an active member of the Shawsheen Alumni Association Applications available in guidance office and also at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Alumni Association Vocational Achievement Scholarship Given to an outstanding high school graduate who demonstrates significant achievement in their vocational shops, displays an excellent attitude and work ethic, and most importantly, exemplify the qualities of workmanship in a student. Recommendations from teachers and other faculty will be solicited for this award, as well as information gather from general scholarship application. Applications available in guidance office and also at Massachusetts Early Childhood Educators Scholarship The Early Childhood Educators Scholarship Program was funded as a pilot initiative by the Legislature for the purpose of increasing the quality and availability of teachers and care providers to work with young children in inclusive settings including infant/toddler, preschool and child care programs. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for currently employed early childhood educators and providers who enroll in an associate or bachelor degree program in Early Childhood Education or related programs. 6 FMC Ice Sports Skaters The FMC Skaters Scholarship program was developed in 1993 to provide financial assistance to ice sports participants and recreational ice skaters that demonstrate personal excellence on and off- the ice. The scholarships are awarded to ice hockey, figure skating and recreational skating participants in June of each year. All applicants must be New England residents and skate at FMC arenas.
