1 Diversity in Child Health Bigger Better Brighter Conference October 2010 Mercure Townsville Woolcock Street, Townsville Qld Australia Preliminary Program and Registration Form
2 WELCOME We would like to welcome health professionals involved in the care of children and their families to the 2010 Children s Health Services conference. The conference will highlight the diversity in children s health practice in relation to the themes of Family and Child Well Being, Parenting, Development and Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Family Health. Australia is experiencing a heightened awareness of the importance of services to children, their families and closing the gap on indigenous health issues. In relation to closing the gap it is anticipated that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family topics will be integrated across all themes. Townsville is ideally positioned to explore these themes from a rural, remote, regional and metropolitan perspective, with the program designed to address these topics from a multidisciplinary perspective. KEY DATES Early Bird Close 18 th September, 2010 Registration Closes 11 th October, 2010 GENERAL ENQUIRIES Pam Hueber (07) Rose Kruze (07) CHILD HEALTH CAMPUS - KIRWAN 2010 CHILDRENS HEALTH SERVICES CONFERENCE Page 2
