2 Parlez-vous Informatics? Speaking the Language of Informatics to Improve Patient Care Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, NV March 27-29, 2014 This year, we ask that question as Parlez-vous Informatics? we hold our annual informatics conference in Paris Las Vegas, that is! I hope that you will be able to join us. We continue to grow our own language and knowledge of informatics as we see the ever-changing role that electronic data and technology play in the role of nursing and health care in general. Our goal is to make sure we learn to speak it as fluently as possible so we can serve as the translators the leaders who can provide guidance to our clinical colleagues and administrators as they try to understand this ever-evolving language in relation to their own role and the industry at large. We hope that the conference provides an opportunity for you to network with informatics professionals to develop your own dictionary of strategies and best practices. Pre-conference workshops, general and breakout sessions, and poster displays will all provide an opportunity to earn continuing education credit hours while enhancing your knowledge of current trends in informatics and best practices in the field. The regional reception on Thursday evening will provide time for networking and fun with colleagues who share similar interests. Interaction in the Exhibit Hall with service and product providers will showcase solutions and allow you the chance to provide feedback to the vendor community on what you think is still needed to best service the industry. As always, ANIA Board members will be present throughout the conference to seek your feedback on how we are doing, what you would like more of, and how you would like to contribute. We hope you enjoy your time at the conference and take advantage of the additional sights Las Vegas has to offer!
