2 INVITATION Dear Colleagues, With great pleasure and honour, we extend a very warm and cordial invitation to invite you all to join the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Society of Andrology on Advances in Reproductive Health to be organized at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow on October 28-29th, The annual meeting of Society of Andrology is the forum to showcase the novel discoveries related to Andrology and other related disciplines. It is important to do and understand the contemporary research and to keep ourselves abreast with the most recent developments in the area of expertise, so that the bene ts can percolate to the society at large. This two days congress affords delegates the opportunity to deepen their scienti c achievements from myriad experts in the diversi ed areas of Andrology. The event will widen the understanding of students and faculty members of various branches for innovative work and create research aptitude. It will give opportunities for sharing innovative ideas among each other and will help in identifying new emerging technologies. The delegates and eminent personals from a variety of specialty elds include male reproduction, endocrinology, urology, anatomy, gynecology/obstetrics, biochemistry, animal science, molecular & cell biology, and reproductive technologies. The Society, which fosters a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of male reproduction, exists to promote scienti c interchange and knowledge of the male reproductive system. Jawaharlal Nehru with a vision to strengthen and advance the eld of drug research and development in the country. The Institute has made signi cant accomplishments in the pursuit of its mission to New Drugs & Technologies for affordable healthcare for all, generation of knowledge base and nurturing future leaders for healthcare sector. Today, it has become a unique model for modernized drug research in India having everything under one roof, from synthesis, screening, development studies, process up-scaling to clinical studies. Unique achievements of the Institute includes discovery and development of 12 new drugs, of which, Arteether (Brand Name: E-mal), BESEB (Brand Name: Memory Sure), Centchroman (Brand Name: Saheli) are currently in market; transferred more than 130 indigenous technologies to the pharmaceutical companies, a signi cant contribution in the metamorphosis of the Indian Pharma Industry. So far, more than 10,000 research articles have been published by the Institute in peer reviewed journals. Obtained m ore than 350 Indian patents and 90 international patents; and produced more than 1000 Ph.D's.
