2 Overview and Objective In the changing regulatory environment where laws and regulations have become complex, there is a huge need to develop sound understanding for enabling the organisation to comply with the various requirement of the laws. All FCRA registered organizations would have to go for the renewal process soon, similarly in the Income Tax Act, 1961 the provision that apply to NGOs have become intricate and challenging. At the same time having sound grant management framework and a proper governance process has become a prerequisite in meeting the requirement of the resource organisation supporting the NGO s. In this backdrop, this Convention has been organized and has been designed with the following objectives: 1. To develop understanding on Incorporation Laws, and related Governance Practices. 2. To develop understanding on various aspects of grant management and a framework for implementation. 3. To develop clarity on various legal requirements applicable to the Nonprofit sector especially on FCRA and Income Tax. This will also provide an opportunity to the participants for a mutual sharing and learning experience.
