2 ABOUT THE CITY City of Hyderabad Once India's biggest and richest princely state, Hyderabad is known for its courtly speech and manners, historic monuments and a distinct cuisine. Today, Hyderabad is India's fth largest city, home to more than 6 million people, and is one of India's leading centers of Information Technology. Situated on the Deccan Plateau at a height of 1,776 ft, it serves, along with its twin Secunderabad, as the capital of the southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Over 400 years old, the city has been a melting pot of in uences, culminating in a unique culture that the city of pearls, home of the iconic Charminar can call its own. ABOUT THE COLLEGE St. Ann's College for Women is an Autonomous college af liated to the Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana state, India. Established in the year 1983, it has the distinction of holding NAAC reaccreditation as an A Grade college and is also awarded twice by the University Grants Commission as a College with Potential for Excellence. St. Ann's is committed to its vision of academic excellence, value enrichment & skill enhancement for women. The academic atmosphere at St. Ann's is a rare blend of work & fun; modern technical skills and the traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge. Seminars, conferences and workshops are integral elements of academic study here and help sharpen the young minds and stimulate a healthy outlook to research and development. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENTS The Departments of Chemistry and Botany established in 1983 were the pioneers of the college..since inception the departments are engaged in imparting the highest level and quality academic education. The Departments offer core courses in Chemistry and Botany for undergraduate students. In addition a two years M.Sc. programme is offered by the Chemistry department. The Departments have a dedicated team of staff members who offer a vibrant atmosphere to students to nurture their spirit of scienti c inquiry to pursue meaningful research in a highly encouraging environment.the faculty is engaged in contributing towards the publication of books/research papers and is energetic in organizing scienti c meetings/conferences/workshops. One such effort is organizing an International Conference on Green Trends in Environmental Sustainability to promote education for sustainable development and prepare environmentally conscientious students. WHY ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY? Can mankind adapt to the changes in environment caused by global climate change? Will mankind be wise enough to protect our planet for future generations? Climate change is real, the actions of mankind are the origin of climate change, and there is no way to reverse climate change- we can only hope to slow the change for the next thousand years. Our food system, our economies, our cities and our communities are being affected by the changing climate.our actions and our support can make a difference in how the world responds and adapts to its changing climate. It is in everyone's interest to come together to address the challenges we face.

3 Practical and affordable solutions will help people slow the rate of climate change and deal with its unavoidable impact. Our goal is to facilitate a move towards sustainable living in the 21st century and beyond. The Conference provides a platform for eminent Professionals, Scientists, Researchers, Academicians and Entrepreneurs across the globe to participate and share their research advancements and new technologies in environmental sustainability.
