3 OUR LADY OF HOPE YÜÉÅ à{x ctáàéüë á Wxá~ Dear Friends: M ountains are special places. They are places of prayer, of divine unveiling and provide a beautiful view of the world below. In today s Gospel Jesus takes Peter, James and John up to the top of a mountain to experience the vision of His glory. He wanted them to see more than their daily life and work. He wanted them to see further than they ever thought they could. He wanted them to see the depths of who He was in a new and profound way. Today, Jesus takes the Church, and each one of us, up the mountain and dares us to see further, better, more deeply than ever before. 5 FEBRUARY 21, 2016 CHILDREN S LITURGY Grade 7 will host the 9:30 AM Mass on February 21 st and Grade 1 will host the Mass on February 28 th. SACRAMENT INFORMATION There will be a MANDATORY parent s meeting for Grade 2 parents on Monday, February 29 th at 7:30 P.M. in the church. Details relating to First Reconciliation and Communion will be discussed at this meeting. SPECIAL LENTEN SERIES SAVE THE DATES! LENTEN REFLECTIONS As part of our parish Lenten offerings and Easter preparation, we will once again offer on the Tuesdays of Lent, February 23, March 1, 8 ~ after the 9:00 A.M. Mass and 7:00 P.M. films which will not only entertain but be a source of inspiration and conversation. Come and see, it will be a great time Romero ~The life and work of Archbishop Oscar Romero who opposed, at great personal risk, the tyrannical repression in El Salvador. Entertaining Angels ~ The phrase entertaining angels refers to the practice of treating all guests- - be they kings or peasants -- as if they were visiting angels. This film captures much of the real - life drama that took place on big city streets, and of the very personal trials which eventually led her to convert to Roman Catholicism, and a dedication to helping the poor. This movie is the challenge for all humble Christians. Nine Days That Changed The World ~ is a very timely, must see, well-made, emotional documentary about Pope John Paul II s historic, world-changing nine-day pilgrimage to Poland in June Everyone should see this documentary.
