2 DIVAS Divinely Inspired Virtuous Anointed Sisters Who said being a DIVA is a bad thing? Embrace your God given DIVA and learn more about being a ministry of excellence! Lunch with us on Saturday, August 30 th at noon in the DC Fellowship Hall. There will be information available that will help us understand the DIVA principle, how we can become more informed in promoting our ministry, and the importance of our continued work to uplift the body of Christ. Registration for the luncheon begins Sunday, August 10 th. Stop by for additional information and sign-up to attend. The Platinum Plus Senior Adults Ministry is hosting a lunch social for all DC Seniors. Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2014 Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Place: Golden Corral (12509 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, 78735). The restaurant is located at the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Parmer Lane. Price: $6.99 (plus tax) per person Transportation will be provided. 3 Primero Health strives to motivate and educate people about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, not just for looks, but to have a higher quality of life. Proper nutrition and exercise are significant factors in preventing obesity, heart disease, Type II diabetes, osteoporosis, and some stressrelated illnesses. As part of their efforts, Primero Health has partnered with local churches to provide free Zumba classes at three different locations in Austin. Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1206 East 9th Street, 78702) Santa Julia Catholic Church (3010 Lyons Road, 78702) Cristo Rey Catholic Church (2208 East 2nd Street, 78702) Class dates and times vary. Married Couples Ministry The next Married Couples Ministry meeting is Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the DC Fellowship Hall. Please remember to bring your book, Love & Respect. SEEKING PERSONS WHO WANT TO MAKE AN IMPACT EACH SUNDAY! The DC Ushers Ministry is looking for enthusiastic, committed and friendly adults and youth with smiling faces who are willing to serve! Senior Usher Rehearsal is the 2 nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Youth rehearsal is the 2 nd Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. Both rehearsals take place at David Chapel.
