The course is offered on the second Wednesday in: January, March, May, September and November, at 7:00 p.m. Baptisms are scheduled for the fourth Sunday of each month at 12:15 p.m. To register for the parent class, or to schedule a Baptism, please contact the Parish Office. SUMMER KINDNESS During the summer, we often think about swimming, boating, and relaxing with a good book. However, for many others these activities are not to be considered because basic needs like finding the next meal, clothes to wear, or a place to sleep are vital. The good news is that you can help! The Vincentians will be collecting for SVDP at all doors after every Mass. This is their Quarterly Collection to help those in need, especially over the summer months. The next Collection will NOT be until the fall! Thank you for your generosity!!! LITURGICAL MINISTERS ANSWER THE CALL! On July 8th, the staff will be providing training for Liturgical Ministers. Have you thought about proclaiming the Gospel or being an Extraordinary Minister of Communion? Now is the time! Is Now the Time to Explore Joining the Church? If you re curious about the Catholic faith or you have even thought about becoming a Catholic, our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program is just for you. Adults from all faith traditions, or no religious background at all, are welcome to participate in our program of instruction designed especially for the needs and lifestyles of busy adults. There are no obligations, pressures or commitments in your participation just come and learn. Our Lady of Peace s program is unique for a number of reasons. It is structured, instructional, and paced for adult learners an interactive program that meets weekly beginning in early September and culminates with Initiation into the Church on Easter Vigil in the spring. Our RCIA team is dedicated to meeting the needs of the individual participant. They are backed-up by a clergy that is involved and caring. It is worth at least one phone call or to find out more. What is the Festival Raffle Ticket Sale? The Festival Raffle Ticket Sale raises money each year for Our Lady of Peace School! Proceeds of this sale benefit OLP to offset the cost of tuition, utilities and other school needs. How does it work? Tickets sell for $6.00 each or a book of 5 for $ Sell as many tickets as you would like to friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. Buyer does not need to be present to win. More tickets will be available in the church gathering space. If 3 books of tickets are purchased ($75.00), the buyer will get 1 free book entered into the raffle! Their name and phone number will be added to 5 additional tickets once the office receives the tickets. What are the prizes and when are the drawings? We played two rounds of capture the flag (we used plastic donuts and pizza) using holi powder to tag each other out, then did a paint-covered slip n slide, tie-dyed t-shirts, spray painted cupcakes, and talked about the difference between KNOWING God and knowing ABOUT God. A huge thank you to all of our helpers that made this happen!
