Fenton Parks Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be completed to begin the process. Shelter Rentals Reserve a shelter for your next family reunion or group outing. Shelters of varying sizes and options are available. For more detailed information visit our website at Non-residents may only reserve shelters in Fenton City Park. All other parks are available to Fenton Residents only. Shelters are available for rental from April 1-October 31. 5 Olde Towne Fenton Farmer s Market Now in its 6th season, Olde Towne Fenton Farmers Market will feature vendors showcasing items such as fresh and locally grown produce, meats, baked goods, prepared food vendors, crafts and more! Olde Towne Fenton FARMERS MARKET Wild Wednesdays (ages 3-5) Preschoolers, ages 3-5 yrs, join us once a month September-December for a fun and exciting class that includes exploring, crafting, story time and a snack. Our nature and wildlife expert, Jill Wider, will introduce you to the wonderful, wild side of nature! Each month will focus on a different theme. Pre-registration is required 3 days prior to event. Your teddy will get to spend the night, and we ll show you all of their mischievous fun in your very own storybook! Your teddy will be ready for pick up after 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Backstreet Cruisers are back for the night of good old Rock n Roll from the 50 s and 60 s featuring excellent cover songs of such musical greats as Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, and many more! 7 About Our Pools RiverChase has three swimming pools, two seasonal outdoor and one indoor, which allows us to offer aquatic programming throughout the year. There are large slides and smaller water playgrounds for children at both the indoor and outdoor pools. Certified lifeguards are always on duty. AQUATICS Important Pool Reminders FOR EVERYONE S SAFETY: #1: ALL toddlers must wear a swim diaper along with a swim suit. #2: SWIMMERS MUST WEAR PROPER SWIM WEAR. ONLY SWIMSUITS WITH LINERS! NO GYM/BASKETBALL SHORTS, CUTOFFS, SPORTS BRAS, ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED. #3: Swimwear having zippers, rivets or buckles will not be permitted to use the slides. They damage the slide. #4: Children must be at least 48 inches tall to use the large slides. #5: Watches, necklaces and other jewelry cannot be worn in the pool areas. #6: NO OUTSIDE FOOD, BEVERAGES OR COOLERS ALLOWED. Inclement Weather Policy If all pools are closed continuously for at least one hour, for any reason, within two hours of your arrival time, you may exchange your wristband for a rain check. Rain checks must be used within 30 calendar days. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. 8 AQUATICS Swim Lessons Preschool Aquatics (ages 3-5) Students become comfortable in the water, getting their faces wet and jumping in with assistance, as well as basic safety rules. Learn-to-Swim (ages 5-teen) Level I : Intro to Water Skills Ages 5 and up students learn fundamentals of floating, basic arm and leg movements for crawl stroke and jumping in unassisted. Level II: Fundamental Aquatic Skills Ages 5 and up students build on skills from level 1 while learning to combine arm, leg, and rotary breathing for the crawl stroke and well as the arm and leg movements for backstroke. Level III: Stroke Development Ages 6 and up students build on skills from level 2 while focusing more on the skills to get student ready for stroke development and improvement. Saturday Mornings (6 weeks, 6 lessons) Indoor Pool - 9:30 a.m. / 10:05 a.m. / 10:40 a.m. Session I October 6 - November 10 Session II November 17 - December 22 $54 - Residents and Members $59 - Non-Members Stroke Development (formerly level IV & V) Students will work to improve their endurance and refine the crawl stroke and backstroke. Continue work on breaststroke and learn the butterfly. Times and instructors can be scheduled to fit your needs. By appointment only. Lessons are 30 minutes, and prices vary by instructor. Join us as we pump through a moderate to fast paced workout to improve your cardiovascular strength and muscle tone. Aqua Zumba Ditch the machines and steps. Participate in this popular, 45-minute Caribbean water workout. Water shoes are recommended

10 YOUTH PROGRAMS Youth Basketball League (ages 1st-3rd grade) This coed, recreational league provides the opportunity for players to enhance their skills and knowledge of basketball, while learning sportsmanship in the process.this 6 game league will be held at RiverChase on Saturdays, and practices will be held on either Fridays or Sundays. Players will receive a numbered uniform shirt and award, and all practice equipment will be provided. A 45 minute instructional clinic will be held November 10 at RiverChase for all players. Times will be ed to parents by their coach. Registration ends Oct. 6. League begins November 17 $60 - Residents and Members $65 - Non-Members *Parent coaches needed and will receive a FREE registration credit at the end of the season RiverChase Indoor Tyke Soccer League (ages 3-5) This 5-game league is a perfect way for your kiddo to meet new friends and burn off that winter energy while playing the game of soccer. This game-only league will be played 4 on 4 with no goalie. Games will be 45 minutes and held at RiverChase West Gymnasium on Saturday mornings. Players will receive a numbered uniform shirt. Shin guards are required. Space is limited so make sure to sign up early! You must sign up by January 13. League begins February 2 $40 - Residents and Members $45 - Non-Members *Parent coaches are needed and will receive a FREE registration credit at the end of the season Youth Dance (ages 3-9) Get out the tutu, it s time for Sandy Book s Dance Class! Classes teach a variety of techniques. Sign up early, class is limited. Saturdays, September 8 - December 15 Holi-Day Camp Join us over winter break for some pure holiday and winter fun with crafts, games, activities and swimming every day! 11 Tumbling Fun 101 Fenton Parks and Recreation offers 5 levels within our Tumbling Fun 101 Program on Wednesdays. Classes are set up to introduce children to the fundamentals of gymnastics and help them find interest in the sport. We recommend a leotard, but they are not required. No jeans allowed. Introduction (suggested ages 3-4) 5:30-6:00 p.m. For students who have never taken a tumbling class before. Listening, following directions, basic body positioning and mechanics are stressed for the floor, vault, beam, and bars. Beginner I (suggested ages 4-5) 6:00-6:30 p.m. For those students who have taken our Introduction class or a prior tumbling class. Learn some of the basic skills such as forward/backward roll on the floor, basic swings on the bars and front/back/side walk on the beam while also building on skills learned in Introduction. Beginner 2 (based on skill level) 6:30-7:00 p.m. Designed for older students who have never taken a tumbling class or have not taken one for six months. Students will master skills such as the forward/backward roll, tuck jump, and bridge on the floor; hurdle and forward roll on the vault, moving low beam skills of forward/backward/sideways walk to the high beam, glide swing; forward roll out, casting on the bars and more. Advanced Beginner (based on skill level) 7:00-7:30 p.m. For the student who has mastered the Beginner skills. Students build on progressive moves taught in Beginner 2. New skills such as handstand forward roll, round-off on the floor; dive rolls on the vault; jumps on the beam and back-hip circle on the bars will be introduced. Intermediate (based on skill level) 7:30-8:00 p.m. For the student who can perform the following: Floor: handstand hold for two seconds, left and right cartwheel, plus back extension roll. Bars: pullover, back-hip circle, stride circle. Beam: forward roll, cartwheel and handstand. Session I August 29 - September 26 Session II October 10 - November 14 *no class 10/31 Session III November 28 - December 26 $42 - Residents and Members $46 - Non-Members YOUTH/ADULT PROGRAMS Kid Fitness Orientation Class This is a mandatory class for youth, ages 12-15, who want to use the fitness center equipment. Participants must have a parent/guardian attend. Mondays, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Sept. 10 Oct. 8 Nov. 12 Dec. 10 $13 - Residents and Members $15 - Non-Members Adult Coed Volleyball ADULT PROGRAMS Drop In Pickleball (D.I.P.) Come play one of the fastest sports in America at RiverChase! Open play is Monday-Thursday in the west gym. Drop in fee is $3.00 per day for everyone, including RiverChase members. Paddles and balls will be provided but are limited. Recreational leagues are Monday, and Tuesday. Competitive league will be played on Thursday s. League is 7 games plus playoffs, and the top 4 teams make the playoffs. 12 OLDER ACTIVE ADULTS Senior Lunch and Bingo (ages 55+) On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, seniors are invited to join us for bingo followed by lunch, prepared and served by RiverChase staff. Special thanks to our sponsor, Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley. You must register by the Sunday prior to the scheduled dates. No cancellations or refunds after that Sunday. Begins at 10:30 a.m. every month except for December 12 it begins at 10:00 a.m. due to entertainment.
