2 Membership All Lee County recreation centers are open to the public. The center amenities include a fully equipped gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness center with locker room facilities, a game room and several large multi-purpose rooms for meetings and classes. Lifetime membership rates are $10 for individuals and $25 for a family. A $5 day pass is available for visitors. All members are issued a member ID card to be presented at the main entrance to access the recreation center amenities. All members may enjoy the gymnasium and game room during available hours. Registration fees may apply to participate in some classes and programs. There is a monthly fee to access the weight room. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult, unless registered to participate in a supervised program or instructor-led class. Membership is valid at all Lee County recreation center locations: North Fort Myers Park & Recreation Center (239) Fitness Center Veterans Park & Recreation Center (239) Estero Park & Recreation Center (239) The fitness center is open during regular building hours. Fitness center membership is honored in all Lee County Parks & Recreation fitness center facilities. Members who are age 14 & 15 may utilize the fitness center if accompanied by a parent or guardian who also has a fitness center membership. Tai Chi $28/4wk session Mondays at 1 p.m. (Beginners) Thursdays at 1 p.m. (Beginners) Wednesdays at 1 p.m. (Intermediate/Advanced). Learn to experience meditation in motion. Gentle, slow rhythmic movements that will aid balance and help maintain flexibility. Tai Chi s calming effect can also help lower blood pressure and improve respiration. Classes will include Yang Style Tai Chi, Chi Gong, and gentle exercise to enhance flowing movement through your body along with the rooted balance characteristics of Tai Chi.
