Dress in your best tea-time attire. Sign up by calling $14 per child (Mommy and Doll are FREE!) FATHER-SON GOLF FUN Sunday, May 6, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Calling boys of all ages! Grab your golf clubs and your dad, granddad, or uncle! Players will play in a two-person scramble event that will include prizes, snacks, and fun activities on the course. JUNIOR TENNIS CLASSES Blacksburg Country Club has a tradition of training great junior tennis players in the state of Virginia. We strive to have classes available for beginners, recreational, and USTA tournament players at BCC. Feel free to contact Bill Woods at if you have any questions about the junior programs. Players must sign-up for classes. USTA JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS USTA Junior Team Tennis is designed for kids ages 5-18 at our club. Teams are co-ed consisting of at least four boys and four girls. We have a spring and fall season and compete against other clubs/teams in the NRV and Roanoke areas. They are divided by the following age: Age Groups: U18, U16, U14, U12, U10 and U8. DINKERS Ages 6-8 Beginner SLICERS Ages 7 11 Adv. Beginner SMASHERS Ages Intermediate JUNIOR ACES Grades 6-12 Advanced JUNIOR TENNIS PARTIES Fridays, June 15, July 27, August 24 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Join your friends for a night of tennis, pizza, fun, and games! JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS (AGES 6+) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Our program provides a chance for young golfers to focus on their game, continue to develop, and enhance their skills during the offseason. Our goal is to provide increased levels of instruction based on a child s age and ability and have children reaching their goals for the upcoming season. Junior golf clinics are open to ages six (6) and older. Call the golf shop at and let us know if you plan to attend. April 1 - End of School Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Ages 6+ End of School - August 8 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Ages 6+ SNAG GOLF (AGES 3-6) Every Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. SNAG (Starting New At Golf) contains all the elements of golf but in a modified form. The game has its own simplified rules and terminology that adds fun to the learning and playing experience. Falling somewhere between miniature golf and regulation golf, SNAG allows for full shots, pitching, chipping, and putting. The SNAG ball has a limited distance, with the average player launching it a maximum of 50 yards. Call to sign up. JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Saturday, July 28, Afternoon Tee Times The 2018 BCC Junior Club Championship is open to all junior golfers and is separated by age divisions. Sign up in the golf shop beginning June 15. 3

KID S NIGHT OUT AT THE POOL Friday, June 22, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Ages 3+. Save the date for this fun night at pool with friends, games, and prizes! Hosted in conjunction with Wine and Nine. Beginning in June, on Fridays children will participate in swimming, free play, and outside time while parents enjoy the Club. **Parents must stay on BCC property during Kids Club.** LATE NIGHT POOL PARTY Friday Nights: 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. No Cub Care June 22, July 20, or August 17. Saturday, August 18, 8:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m., Ages 8+ Pack your sleeping bags! BCC youth are invited to come party at BCC all night long. We ll watch a dive-in movie, play games, and spend the night. 5 BCC BARRACUDAS SWIM TEAM Blacksburg Country Club offers a competitive swimming program for all ages and levels. We compete in the Southwest Virginia Swim League (SVSL). Any child (or adult) has the opportunity to participate. To be on the swim team, children should be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted. If not, they should continue in Mini Barracudas to get ready! Our coaches work hard with each particular age group on stroke technique, turns, and competitive dives for each specific event while also nurturing a love and enthusiasm for the sport of swimming. As a member of the BCC swim team, you are sure to learn lifelong swim/fitness skills, share in an enthusiastic, high-energy team, and make strong friendships for years to come. FEES $150 1st Swimmer $75 Each Additional Swimmer $125 2nd Swimmer $50 Adult Swimmers $100 3rd Swimmer The registration fee includes a non-refundable SVSL league fee, team t-shirt, cap, and end of the year banquet dinner. MINI BARRACUDAS (SWIM LESSONS) Mini Barracudas is open to children ages 3+ who are ready to learn to swim. This year we are restructuring our lessons to give our beginning swimmers and families more opportunities to be in the water each week. Lesson participants will be Junior members of our Swim Team in hopes they can join the ranks one day. Participants will be split into 3 levels, much like normal lessons. FEES $150 1st Swimmer $100 3rd Swimmer $125 2nd Swimmer $75 Each Additional Swimmer The registration fee includes a t-shirt, end of season ice cream party, and awards. June July 9-11 August 6-8 JUNIOR CAMPS RISING PRE-K - KINDERGARTEN Junior Fun 3 Day Camp May :00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $90 Children will have one day of golf, tennis, and art, and campers will enjoy swimming each day! Snack included. Barracuda Jr. Swim Camp June 4-7 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $100 A week of water fun! Campers will play a variety of water games and enjoy swim instruction with team coaches. Campers must be able to swim five yards unassisted. Snack included. Junior All-Sports Camp June :00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. $125 This camp consists of a rotation of golf, tennis, and swimming each day. Campers will also have an end-of-the-week BCC Olympics. Snack included. Jr. Pirate and Mermaid Camp July :00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. $100 Kids will make pirate and mermaid crafts and enjoy a week of fun Activities and swimming! Snack included. SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION Due to staffing guidelines and physical space limitations, camps are limited to the first 18 sign-ups for All-Star Camps, 12 campers for Junior Camps and 8 for Mini Camps. Registering for 6+ weeks? your registration to Danielle beginning April 1! Have two campers in the same camp? Receive a 20% discount for each sibling camper participating in the SAME camp! Camp registration begins on Sunday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend, you may designate someone to register for you or register through beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8. Early registrations cannot be accepted. Due to the popularity of our summer camps, we are unable to allow non-members to participate. A $50 (less total cost of camp) non-refundable deposit is billed on the day of registration. Adults who are signing up children of other members must have a signed permission form.
