This weekend at the 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Masses our Eucharistic Ministers who have served for 3 or more years will be re-commissioned with the approval of Bishop Persico. This weekend all parishes in the Diocese will have a special collection for our 50 retired priests. It will aid in non-insured medical costs and nursing home expenses. Help provide those priests with the same love and generosity they offered us for generations. Our diocesan website lists the addresses and birthdays of our retired clergy. Why not send a note to a priest you remember? Adopt one as a prayer partner. Not to be picky, but did you turn in your Pick 4 sweepstakes tickets yet? Deadline April 25th. Religious Education Regular Religious Education classes will meet this Sunday, April 17 th at DACS from 10:30-11:45 a.m. The last class for this academic year will be held on Sunday, April 24 th. April 17 th will be the last Religious Education class for our grade 3 children since they will have their First Holy Communion Retreat next Sunday, April 24 th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Confirmation was celebrated on Friday, April 15 th at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. Prayer for Retired Priests We pray for the retired priests of our Diocese that they may experience peace and joy in their retirement for the countless years of service they have provided and continue to provide to the people of God. St. Michael Church News THANK YOU to all who donated items to our college stress boxes. We sent out 23 boxes to our college students to remind them their parish family is thinking of them! FESTIVAL NEWS: The next Polish Festival meeting will be this Monday at 6:00 p.m. in St. Michael church hall. Our sympathy goes out to Theresa Cyphert on the passing of her sister, Angeline Lencer; and also to the Frano family on the passing of Ron Frano. Please keep them in your prayers. A donation has been received to our Memorial Fund in memory of Ron Frano by Kathy Urban. St. Michael Rosary Members: are invited to SSCD in Punxsy Sun. Apr. 24 at 11 a.m. for Mass and then to celebrate the Year of Mercy, we will enter the Holy Doors and receive special indulgences.
