2 St. Michael High School Youth Ministry Powered by Mary Rak Middle School Youth Minister ext. 14 Meet every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. **Super Sunday Makeup will work as follows: Material and subject matter planned for Sunday, January 9 will be moved to the next Super Sunday on February 20. The last Super Sunday will be held March 6. Everyone must attend both of these sessions in order to be confirmed. Mark Your Calendars: January 28 Pizza & Game Party will be from 6:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Details on this will be upcoming! February 6 Souper Bowl for Caring will help our very own Food Pantry. Life Teen starts with Life Teen Mass at 6pm, followed by a Life Night and dinner that last until 9pm Spring Semester Schedule Jan. 16 Attitude Check (Semester Introduction to Social Justice) Jan. 23 Vita Nox (Teaching on the foundations & background of Church s social teaching) Jan. 30 Solidarity (Teaching on the importance of all people working together to protect every human life) Upcoming Church Activities Jan. 22 March 4 Life (Prolife the Cathedral) 1 st Saturday s of the Month (HS teens will get together to perform different service projects such as helping clean the church, helping the elderly, and helping the community in general!) Parents: This Life Night is the first night of the Social Justice Semester. Before talking about specific issues of social justice, the teens must first know what God desires for his children. This night will explore the ideas of happiness, community and the role of the Beatitudes in the Christian life. The teaching for this night will focus on God s desire for our happiness and out need for community All forms, information, & details about events and activities can be found on our website, For more information about getting your high school teen registered into the program please contact Rachel Kollhoff at ext. 17, or Rachel@stmichaelgarland.org. Your teen may now know more about the beginnings of the Mass than you do! Ask them to tell you what they remember, and compare it to our current Mass. What changes do you see?
