Earth Centered Spirituality (ECS) is an umbrella term used to describe a variety of alternative spiritual paths that emphasize a reverence for Nature, and expressions of the Divine present in the natural world. Some Earth Centered paths include: Wicca Witchcraft Faery Magick Druidism Heathenism Native American traditions Voodoo African Orishas Goddess Spirituality The Falcon Circle SPRE group meets during scheduled SPRE times at either our outdoor ritual circle, or at an indoor location pending weather. Lessons. and activities are decided on by DFGL with special attention to cadet requests and interests. Some past lessons/activities include: ntensive energy work ntroduction to basic ECS theory Ritual observance. of Sabbats Full Moon Spell Casting Divination lessons Drumming, chanting, and dancing Falcon Circle also participates in a variety of ECS community events with the general public. Regularly scheduled events often include: The Witches' Ball in Denver Beltania in Black Forest Metaphysical fairs Herbal, Metaphysical, Neo-Pagan shopping Pagan Pride events Exclusive workshops with local and national ECS writers and teachers Page 2 of 2

DFGL at USAFA for AY 2013/2014 and 2014/2015,. and have. not ever utilized any kind of advertising.. There are two reasons for this: l. The. work do with the SPRE program is designed for the cadets, who can receive SPRE group information from the chaplains upon request. t has. always been my understanding that religious groups which fall under the purview of the chapel are. not allowed to "advertise" to the cadets,. so have not engaged in such behavior. n addition, do not hold services. which are open to the general public. try to coordinate. any rituals/services with our designated SPRE t ime. on Monday nights, so as not to press cadets to commit extra time outside of their already busy schedules. refer any inquiries for ECS information from the chaplains to the appropriate resources. There are a variety of ECS organizations suited to the needs of both active military and civilians in Colorado Springs. 2. The second reason do not advertise ECS services at USAFA is because the Earth-Centered path does NOT proselytize. t is not a part of our spiritual tradition to recruit or convert in order to increase the size of our community, making advertisement of our group counter to Earth-Centered tenets. ECS is generally a self-driven practice with such a diverse multiplicity of traditions (i.e. Wicca, Heathenism, Druidism, Witchcraft, Native American Medicine) that it would be nearly impossible for any one individual to provide adequate guidance to all. Such multiplicity lends itself to a unique individual experience, centered around individual goals and desires. While have discussed the existence and learning objectives of Falcon Circle, have not advertised in order to encourage increased attendance. n fact, try very hard to. communicate that Falcon Circle. is for cadets, not the general public. hope this answers any questions you may have, but please let me. know if there is anything else can. do to clarify.
