6 OMNI MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT AMENITIES More Winter Fun! Nordic Skiing On the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Hotel and the White Mountain National Forest, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center is one of the largest cross country areas in the East. The 100-km trail network crosses open fields, meanders through woods of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams and traverses open hardwood stands. Enjoy classical and skate skiing or snowshoeing on trails painstakingly prepared with our state of the art groomers. And don t forget to stop off at the warming yurt or the rustic, back country cabin on Mount Stickney. Dog Sledding Take in the spectacular winter scenery as you glide across our winter wonderland behind a powerful team of dogs. You will experience nature as explorers have for hundreds of years. As the dogs stretch out and attack the trail ahead of them, you will enjoy the ride of a lifetime. It is amazing to watch these high-drive dogs do what they were bred to do. You will be introduced to all aspects of modern dog sledding, including meeting the dog team, taking a ride with one or two of your friends or family members and maybe even driving the sled. Photo courtesy of Omni Mount Washington Resort Alpine Skiing Visit Bretton Woods, NH s largest ski area with 464 acres of skiing and snowboarding, including 102 trails and glades, as well as four terrain parks! Nine lifts, including four high-speed quads, make your ride up the mountain almost as fun as the ride down. Voted Best in the East for Weather by SKI magazine, if there s snow falling, chances are we ve got it or we can make it with snow making on 92% of our trails. And, because you ll want to stay on our slopes until after dark, we also offer night skiing and riding. Our group rate is $30 per day. Children 7 and under ski FREE!! Bretton Woods Canopy Tour Located right here in Bretton Woods, NH, and descending over 1000 feet of elevation, the tour takes nature-lovers and thrillseekers across a series of tree-top zip lines on the longest zip line canopy tour in New England and one of the longest canopy tours in the continental United States! High-flying suspension bridges and hiking trails connect the zip lines, and the tour concludes with the Williwaw Racing Zip, a dual, side-by-side zip line leading right into the Bretton Woods base area. Designed and constructed by Bonsai Design, Inc., this unique canopy tour features a dual-cable construction (you slide below two separate cables, instead of just one), coated cables (to make for a quiet, more natural flight through the trees) and platforms and bridges milled from locallyharvested wood sources, in keeping with our commitment to environmentally sustainable programs. Once on the tour, our Adventure Guides describe the native flora and fauna, in addition to discussing the surrounding area, its natural history and White Mountain lore. All in all, a unique New Hampshire experience not to be missed! 6
