2 Conference overview and intended audience With the rapid changes in practice patterns and new evidence in the literature, it is imperative that the OB-GYN generalist and family medicine physician stay up to date on several key topics in general obstetrics, obstetrical emergencies, medical complications of pregnancy, gynecology and gynecologic oncology. This activity is intended for practitioners in obstetrics and gynecology as well as internal and family medicine including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses and other health care professionals who have direct responsibility for, or interest in, obstetrics and gynecology. Global Objective: The overall purpose of this conference is to supplement the provider s current knowledge with updated evidence-based strategies, techniques, and best practices for managing common challenges in the ever changing field of obstetrics and gynecology. Accreditation Credits: This conference will provide 7.5 hours of education Friday = 2.0 Saturday = 5.5 This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Physicians accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Allegheny General Hospital and. The Allegheny General Hospital is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Allegheny General Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Other Credit: American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM from organizations accredited by the ACCME. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM from organizations accredited by the ACCME. American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 7.5 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.
