To make reservations, call or and indicate you are attending the New Horizons in Pediatrics Conference. Reservations should be made as soon as possible, and no later than April 6, 2018 to guarantee this reduced rate. All reservations made after April 6, 2018, will be based upon space and rate availability. Course Description The purpose of this conference is to update pediatric primary care and family practitioners about the latest information regarding medical conditions that affect pediatric and adolescent patients, and recommended treatment options. Who Should Attend The conference will benefit pediatricians, family practice physicians, physician assistants and pediatric nurse practitioners. Nurses and other health professionals involved in the care of children may find the information useful and are welcome to attend. Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Diagnose and manage common pediatric and adolescent gynecologic conditions Diagnose and treat Pediatric Postinfectious Autoimmune Encephalopathy Describe current PAN research and treatment modalities Identify current trends in the field of diagnosis and treatment of hypertension Identify common causes of pediatric and adolescent headaches Assess patients effectively for atopic dermatitis with novel molecular treatments Evaluate back pain and other pediatric orthopedic related conditions Effectively order imaging for pediatric patients Manage opioid use in pediatric patients Discuss Red Book updates and infectious disease risks in current pediatric medicine Discuss challenging cases in infectious diseases Identify and manage neurocutaneous syndromes Continuing Education Credits Physician Education is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Children s designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Maintenance of Certification An application has been submitted to the American Board of Pediatrics to request MOC Part 2 Lifelong Learning Self-Assessment credit. Registered physician attendees will receive an with access to the MOC Part 2 assessment at the conclusion of the conference. Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatrics who score an 80% or above on the assessment will receive 10 MOC Part 2 points.

6 General Information Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 10 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit. Opioid Prescribing Education Requirements Effective January 1, 2018, the Georgia Composite Medical Board requires that every physician not subject to Rule (3) who maintains an active DEA certificate and prescribes controlled substances, except those holding a residency training permit, shall complete at least one time three or more hours of AMA/AOA PRA Category 1 CME that is designed specifically to address controlled substance prescribing practices. This conference partially fulfills this educational requirement for annual opioid prescribing and management related AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for physicians in attendance.
