Board of Education Approves Name Change: Randolph Guidance Department Becomes Counseling Department In an effort to formally and accurately represent the important work that Randolph school counselors do each day, the department has been renamed the counseling department. We need to bring our department to the next level in terms of student and family support, he said in a presentation to the Randolph Board of Education, which approved the name change. Our school counselors are an integral part of the academic team and supporting each child s social and emotional wellbeing is an essential first step in developing effective and gifted learners. The change in name aligns with the national standard provided by the American School Counselors Association. (Mr. Dimiceli is pictured left with Superintendent Jennifer A. Fano.)
