2 ALPHA SQUAD Sgt. Paul O Dell No new employees EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: None SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS: Deon Smith and Steven Staaf, arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Shonita Williamson for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia CHARLIE SQUAD Sgt. Gerad Hunt No new employees EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: Officer Michelle Smith completed 16 hours of K-9 Training and 6 hours of Explorer Training. SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS: Katrina Mathews, arrested for Aggravated Battery OTHER SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION: Charlie Squad discovered a Meth lab on East Vine Street during a call. Det. Zawacki was notified and responded to the scene for dismantling of the Meth Lab. One subject was arrested as a result of this effort. Over 28g of liquid methamphetamine was recovered, as well as precursors for the manufacture of additional methamphetamine. BRAVO SQUAD Sgt. J. D. Goff No new employees SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS: No significant arrests OTHER SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION: Sgt. Goff participated in the Police Department Strategic Planning Session DELTA SQUAD Sgt. William Reall No new employees EDUCATION ACHIEVEMENTS: None to report SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS: Lyron Riley arrested for Fleeing to Elude, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Removing Serial Numbers from Firearm, and Possession of Cannabis. Natalia Brown arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, and Discharging a Firearm from an Occupied Vehicle. Demarcus Jefferson arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm/Domestic Violence. Firearms were recovered from all three incidents listed above.

3 SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS Sgt. Hiram Saunders School was out June 4th Sgt. Saunders was assigned to C.S.T. to cover personnel on vacation. Officer Greg Rhoden has been assigned to C.S.T. while school is out. Officer Jason Griffith has been assigned to the Detective Bureau for the summer. DETECTIVE BUREAU Det. Eric Sherouse School Resource Officer Jason Griffith has been assigned to the Detective Bureau for the summer months. EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: Det. Michael Prevatt attended Cell Phone Telephone Forensics Training at PATC in South Florida Det. Sherouse completed online FDLE Training for mandatory retraining. SIGNIFICANT ARRESTS/INVESTIGATIONS: Anthony Grelishaus on charges of Burglary of a Vehicle, and Theft. Kenny Lott for Lewd Battery Malik Wiggins on 2 counts of Lewd/Lascivious Battery. Conducted a surveillance investigation at First United Methodist, which resulted in the youth pastor, Jacob Judson, being charged with 3 counts of Theft. Jorge Miranda on the charges of trafficking narcotics, possession of firearm and ammunition by convicted felon, maintaining vehicle for trafficking narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia. Detective Zawacki and members of HIDTA were called out reference a methamphetamine lab located at 170 East Vine Street. Six "One pot" methamphetamine labs were located. Suspect Robert Cannaday was charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Detective Zawacki assisted the Bartow Probation regarding a narcotics complaint located at 465 S. 9th Avenue. Brenton Ammons and his wife Holly Prettyman "aka" Holly Ammons were arrested for narcotic charges, along with two other subjects COMMUNITY SERVICE: Detective Prevatt worked with members of Community Southern Bank to establish protocols for a Mock robbery presentation that will be made in the near future. OTHER INFORMATION: Detective Sherouse and Investigator Griffith attended the Strategic planning session for the month of June. Detectives are currently assigned 178 active cases/investigations

4 COMMUNITY SERVICES TEAM (C.S.T.) Submitted by: Cpl. Bryan Dorman Officer Greg Rhoden was assigned to CST for the summer EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: Ofc. Sudhoff attended a DUI case preparation course at Polk State College. Cpl. Dorman attended the second strategic planning meeting for the Police Department SIGNIFIGANT ARRESTS: Robert Canaday for Violation of Probation. Synopsis: The Defendant was a suspect in the production of methamphetamine. For several weeks, the Community Services Team was monitoring activity at the Defendant s residence due to him purchasing several precursory items to manufacture narcotics from local businesses. During this process, officers responded to his residence for a medical emergency that was called into the police department. During this investigation, a methamphetamine mixing lab was located and the HIDTA (Drug Task Force) team was notified. The Defendant was arrested by CST for Violation of Probation and later charged by HIDTA for the manufacture of methamphetamine. Andreus Woods for Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell, Driving while License Suspended and Violation of Probation. Willie Silvers for Possession of Cannabis Kevin Smith for Felony Possession of Cannabis (1/4 pound) COMMUNITY EVENTS: Attended the Citizen on Patrol (COP) meeting on June 9. Attended the EPAC (Eastside Positive Action Committee) meeting on June 10. Attended a Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting hosted by the Serdynski Family on South Kissingen Avenue on June 14. At the meeting CopDots Information was distributed as well as other Promotional items. A CopDots Pen was given away as a door prize. Organized and presented a Neighborhood Crime Watch Program at Peace River Village on June 17. Participated and attended the annual Juneteenth Event held under the bridge at Polk Street on June 22nd. Crime Prevention Information and promotional items were distributed COMMUNITY SERVICE: Focused enforcement and patrol activities in the EPAC area of Bartow. This was accomplished during the day and night time hours. CST conducted traffic enforcement in school zones, East State Road 60 and Ernest Smith Blvd in reference to traffic complaints. A total of 28 citations were written. Assisted the School Resource Officers with extra patrol at Bartow High School to monitor end of school year activities. CST utilized the new speed/message trailer at several key locations to warn motorists of various concerns. The trailer was set up in school zones, and high traffic areas in town. CST continues to present CopDots to citizens as a new crime fighting tool.
