13 Calls for Service The Hebron Police Department responds to every call for service (CFS) received, covering 3.07 Square Miles. A Call Record (CR), is then completed for every call for service. The level of service required once on scene determines if any subsequent report is necessary. Depending upon the nature of the call, the subsequent reporting may include a traffic crash report, a NIBRS report (National Incident Based Reporting System), or a traffic citation. Calls for service (2013) 2779 Calls for service (2014)

14 Offense Reports Every call for service that involves an alleged or suspected criminal act results in the generation of a NIBRS report. NIBRS is the acronym for National Incident Based Reporting System which is a standardized form utilized nationwide for reporting and recording the commission of a criminal offense. A NIBRS report is a very detailed reporting format which provide for the collection of data in a format that can be readily reported to state and federal agencies for tracking and monitoring offenses. The offense type and the numbers reported are as follows: 13

Other means would include those circumstances where a mutual agreement is reached between the victim and the offender, it is a suicide or accidental death, or a missing/runaway is located. 16

19 Traffic Enforcement Traffic enforcement is a major focus of the Department due in large part to the two major highways intersecting our Village, as well as the large amount of traffic caused by the Newark Industrial Park. Recurring complaints from the community identify several locations to focus efforts at traffic enforcement. As always, the main purpose is to prevent traffic crashes and dangerous conditions on Hebron roadways. The breakdown of traffic enforcement activity is as follows: 18
