2 A Special Welcome From Johnny Bench and Doug Flynn People ask why Hope For The Warriors and the Hope For The Warriors Invitational are such an important part of our lives. The answer is easy: Once you realize what Hope For The Warriors does in lives of our heroes - the men and women who have sacrificed while serving in our military - you just have to be all in. It may sound cliché, but we have seen it with our own eyes. Hope For The Warriors gives HOPE to these heroes and their families. They are hands on, holistic and personal when dealing with the affected service member and helping get them to their new normal. That can mean preparing them to continue serving their country or helping them and their family transition into their next role as civilians. We have watched this golf event grow with more golf professionals, celebrities, flag officers, sponsors and service members attending year after year. We are looking forward to spending time with our heroes at the 9 th annual Hope For The Warriors Invitational (August12-13, 2018) at the gorgeous River Landing Country Club in Wallace, North Carolina. Our time together will be spent playing golf, attending the always memorable Warrior Night dinner, telling and listening to stories, and meeting some true American heroes. History Hope For The Warriors was founded aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, in North Carolina, in 2006 as we witnessed, firsthand, the effects of war on our families and communities.

The organization is like my extended family, and regularly checks in not only on me, but on members of my family as well. It also connects me to other injured service members through different programs and community events, and I can talk with them about things I might not be able to with other people.
