2 ABOUT GNHFH WHAT WE DO Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashua (GNHFH) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that works to strengthen families and communities through affordable homeownership opportunities. GNHFH works in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating simple, decent, energy efficient, affordable homes. Not only do Habitat families pay for their homes through a monthly mortgage, they also put in between 225 and 400 hours of sweat equity prior to becoming homeowners. Habitat homes are not a hand out. Rather, they are a hand up. WHO WE HELP This spring (2015), GNHFH donors and volunteer will complete the affiliate s eighth and ninth homes. Both homes will be dedicated to local New Hampshire families. WHERE WE WORK Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, and we serve the New Hampshire communities of Amherst, Hollis, Hudson, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua and Pelham, Brookline, Greenville, Lyndeborough, Mason, Mont Vernon, Wilton and Windham. Lowe s Heroes employee volunteers from the Amherst, NH Lowe s hard at work on the build site in mid-august Lowe s is a key supporter and longtime friend of Habitat for Humanity International. Local stores work closely with local Habitat affiliates across the country. 2

4 BUILDING GROUP MORALE & HOMES TOGETHER GROUP/CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING DAYS GNHFH Team Building Days are opportunities for companies and groups to have enriched team-building experiences while volunteering on a Habitat construction site. Team Building Days increase morale and improve group communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. Habitat Team Building Days are an excellent way to get out of the office for fresh air, exercise and to strengthen bonds with co-workers. Building with Habitat produces tangible, long-term results your employees can sit back at the end of the day and admire the work they accomplished together. You will be able to drive past the Habitat home you worked on for years to come and say, We helped build it! Group/Corporate Team Building Day. $1,500/day YOUR DAY INCLUDES: Exclusive, guided day of service for your group on a GNHFH build site for up to 15 people. All tools and training are provided on your day. No need to bring anything and no previous building experience or knowledge is required.
