1 Eagle Club Scholarship Fund
2 Dear Golden Eagle, What I admire most about our University and our Golden Eagle fans is loyalty and passion. We are blessed to have your support and greatly value you and your family. On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, we want to thank you for making such a tremendous difference in our lives. I share your Southern Miss Passion and look forward to each day in service to Southern Miss and a wonderful future together. I experienced your support on the football field as a student-athlete and now, more than ever, appreciate your support as your Athletics director. As we proceed through 2013, I once again seek your support to our Eagle Club Scholarship Fund. This fund provides the necessary financial support to more than 360 student-athletes and greatly assists in offsetting Athletics department costs. Now, more than ever, we need your support for our studentathletes as they learn in a superb academic environment (led by an incredible faculty and staff), develop as socially responsible leaders, and compete at the highest levels of NCAA competition. In this regard, I request your financial assistance to Make a Difference for our youngsters and ask that you join me in supporting the Eagle Club. Respectfully, Jeff Hammond Why Support the Eagle Club What is the Eagle Club? The Eagle Club is the fundraising division of the Southern Miss Athletics department. Its mission is to annually raise funds to offset the cost of scholarships awarded to Southern Miss student-athletes. More than 2,500 dedicated alumni, friends and fans assist the Eagle Club in providing more than 300 student-athletes the opportunity to pursue a college degree. Why Support the Eagle Club? You have a strong conviction about academic and program support. You have an appreciation for the University s image on the local and national level. You enjoy the fun, fellowship and social engagement opportunities. You realize the benefits of priority seating and special access. You see it as an investment with impact in the future of Southern Miss Athletics and in the lives of Southern Miss student-athletes.

Planned gifts may offer excellent tax advantages. Gifts in Kind Donating needed goods and services is another way to build the strength of USM Athletics while offering the donor a tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift. Please consult your tax advisor concerning tax deductions. Endowments and Memorial Gifts Honorary and memorial gifts are a fitting tribute to someone s life and accomplishments. Families and friends can endow Athletics scholarships to honor the memory of achievements of loved ones. Online Gifts You can make a gift online by visiting Monthly Donation Program It is now possible to make monthly contributions through an automatic charge by credit card or through bank draft. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to discuss any of the options mentioned above, please call the USM Athletic Foundation at
