Please check the school web site frequently as scholarship information and deadline dates will be updated on a regular basis. OCTOBER Wendy s High School Heisman - thletes are encouraged to apply online at pplicants must have at least an 85 average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. ES Engineers Scholarship - $500 award for college bound students planning to major in any area. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of character. Coon Humanitarian ward in the amount of $600 is awarded to a high school junior or senior for outstanding community service (academic achievement is NOT a factor). Young Women in Public ffairs Scholarship is a $400 award given to a senior woman entering a 4-year college seeking a career in policy making, government or with a volunteer organization. Buckenmeyer Volunteer Scholarship Program will be awarding twenty-five $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college. The applicant or the applicant s parent/legal guardian must be a member in good standing with FSNY, and the applicant must be actively participating as a volunteer firefighter or junior firefighter, or participating with a volunteer EMS program. SE Engineering Scholarships - The Society of utomotive Engineers (SE) offers a number of scholarships ranging from $1,000 to full tuition to qualified students who are interested in the field of engineering and related sciences. pplications are available online at and are due by March 15, St. Lawrence Co. Randles/Society of the United Helpers Scholarship in the amount of $750 each will be awarded to three area high school seniors desiring to continue his/her education in the healthcare field. Professions that will be considered are Nursing, Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, Clinical Psychology and Physician ssistant. pplications can be found online at or in the Guidance office and must be received by pril 13, Northern New York Community Foundation, Inc. Scholarships will be awarded to St. Lawrence County high school seniors. Selection is based upon academic achievement and personal data. Students attending technical schools are eligible to apply. The Rotary Purple Heart Scholarship is also available to military applicants who have received a Purple Heart ward or their dependents. Please note applications are to be submitted as a packet. Scholarship recipients may apply to renew their scholarships annually for a total of four years of higher education. Renewal is not automatic, but depends on academic performance and continued academic eligibility. Both scholarships have a deadline of pril 30, MY Marcie nn Franklin Scholarship ward of $300 in memory of Marcie nn Franklin, a 1999 graduate of Edwards-Knox, is given to an E-K graduating senior who plans to further their education in the medical field. ll documents must be postmarked by first Monday in May. William Wiese Scholarship in the amount of $300 is given by the Wiese family in honor of Mr. William Wiese, former Superintendent of Knox Memorial Central School, to an E-K senior entering an education (teaching) program next year. pplications are available in the guidance office and must be returned by the first Monday in May. Nichole Davis Scholarships Nichole Davis went through the daily challenge of Cystic Fibrosis and impacted many people in a positive way through her appreciation for life. In her memory, two Nichole Davis Scholarships are being offered; one to a Lisbon senior and one to a Northern New York senior. Two letters of recommendation and two specific essays are required. The application must be postmarked by May 5, Northern Zone NYS Retired Teachers ssociation Scholarship will award one $400 scholarship to a St. Lawrence County senior pursuing a career in teaching. pplication is due May 3, SeaComm Shirley J. Eagles Scholarships - Ten one-time $500 scholarships will be awarded to high school senior SeaComm members or sons/daughters of members in good standing. Recipients must have a GP of 85 or above and be enrolled at an accredited college within six months of the award presentation. Seniors who are residents of Edwards, Fine, Clifton, Harrisville or Pitcairn may apply through the guidance office by the first Monday in June of each year. Lennelle Dougherty McKinnon Scholarship is given in the amount of $300 by Mrs. McKinnon s family in recognition of her 30 years of service to the school district The criterion for this scholarship for an E- K student entering college, any major, is good academic standing, exemplary character with some consideration of financial need. Seniors may apply at the guidance office by the first Monday in June. Law-Rice Memorial Scholarship, in memory of Raymond E. Rice, Marian Law Rice and their son, Max Rice, is given on the basis of need to an Edwards-Knox student entering college pursuing the teaching profession. pply at the guidance office by the first Monday in June.

Ray Loop Scholarship, a legacy by Ray Loop of Russell, provides scholarship monies for graduates of Knox Memorial and Edwards-Knox enrolled in a program leading to a degree in ministry, medicine or other health-related fields.
