Scientific studies convincingly show that letter perfect CPR, minimal breaks in compressions, full recoil, adequate depth, and adequate compression rate are all factors that can increase survival from cardiac arrest. HP-CPR teaches you how to incorporate these critical factors and helps guide you to a more successful resuscitation. This course will offer the initial tools and content needed to achieve high performance CPR (HP-CPR) on your next resuscitation and teach YOU how to incorporate this technique into your own EMS system! (Limit 30) Room 241 and ER MedSurg Sim Lab Pre-Hospital Cardiology Brandy Bartholomew, RN, BSN, CEN Marc Essary, EMT-P In this session, Brandy will present basic anatomy, time sensitive procedures and review national and local standards of care. Bill Arsenault, EMT-P Lead Paramedic/ Training Officer - Gem County EMS In this fun filled, yet informative class, you will find that Emergency Medical Providers (EMP) are no longer just ambulance drivers, nor are we just volunteer or career providers. In a technology filled- instant- media- spotlight inducedseizure- thought-process, everything we do is critiqued and evaluated. How your EMS service looks and feels to the community sets the tone for its short and long term image. In short, what do you want your image to be and how do you find your EMS-ness? (Limit 30) Room 104 LZ Class Air St. Luke s Preparing a landing zone for EMS helicopters is an important skill and a vital component in flight care. This presentation will take a close look at how to better manage risks and apply critical thinking to EMS Large Lecture 151 Virtuosity: The act of doing the common, uncommonly well Tom McLean, EMT-P, Captain, Ketchum Fire Department Many of the decisions we make as EMS providers are based on the vital signs we collect in our patient surveys. These critical decision making findings are often assessed in a cursory manner that may lead to improper decision making. Virtuosity in vital-taking will help providers make proper decisions in providing care to their patients.
