Surgical Services Surgical Technician Experience gaining knowledge of careers as well as hands on exploration using surgical instruments and equipment. Physical Therapy Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist Learn about the career of a physical therapist and participate in hands-on exercise used By therapists to increase their patient strength and range of motion. X-Ray Services X-Ray Technologist Learn about the career of a x-ray technologist and participate in hands-on exercises. 3/2 Organization: Aurora Health Care Date: Friday, March 2, 2018 Time: 8:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Address: 855 N. Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh, WI Room: Conference room A, Hospital lab and Emergency room. Hospital Lab Laboratory Staff Tour of the lab and light hands on activities.

3 Emergency Services/EMS Tracy Warren/Nicole Slusser/Brenda Doolittle A participative experience where students will get to experience tools and knowledge used by emergency room physicians, nurses. Students will get an inside look at the Emergency Department and the variety of services provided for patients of all ages. Students will explore ED trauma room and see some tools and knowledge used in emergency and/or trauma situations. Will discuss the various roles form pre-hospital (EMS opportunities) to roles with in the ED from ED techs to RN. Surgery Various Staff within the Surgery Department A Participated experience were students will get to experience tools and knowledge used in the Operating Room Setting. Opening an OR suite, maintain the sterile field, and review of the responsibilities of an OR nurse. 3/6 Organization: ThedaCare Date: Tuesday, March 6, 2018 Time: 9:00am - noon Address: ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton 1818 N. Meade St., Appleton Room: Ironwood Conference Room Presenters: RN Skills RN/Education Specialist A very hands on experience where students will practice RN skills such as test tubes, PICC lines, IV starts, dressing changes, and the importance of communication with your patients, family members, and within the care team. Infection Prevention Infection Prevention Practitioner, RN Through hands on activities, learn why adherence to Infection Prevention practices is so important. Did you know that healthcare-acquired infections are one of the most common complications of health care? Learn what YOU can do to stop the chain of infection and what our clinicians do to help minimize these risks for our patients, residents, visitors and their fellow team members. Trust or Teamwork? Education Specialists/Registered Nurses An interactive opportunity to determine if teamwork and trust impact job satisfaction, patient outcomes, and peer-to-peer relationships.

Behavioral Health Careers Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Team Learn from the behavioral health team and learn how they work together in providing personalized care to their patients. Surgical Services Surgical Services Team Surgical Services Team Surgical Technologists and Surgical Nursing Hands on exploration using laparoscopic instruments to understand technologic advancements in surgery. This session will help you to understand the roles of health care professionals in the operating room. 3/12 Organization: Marian University Date: Monday, March 12, 2018 Time: 8:30am-11:30am Address: Center for Health Professions building 30 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac, WI Room: D103 Pre-Med Biologist Learn about the various paths you can take into the medical field, how much time is expected and how to plan for those courses needed now. Get your questions answered on the type of schooling you need in order to become an Optometrist, a Medical Doctor, a Chiropractor, and other medical professional fields. Radiologic Technology Brian Joachim An informational session that provides insight into the various modalities of the radiologic sciences. Radiographic images from interesting case studies will be reviewed as well. Nursing Simulator Lab Health Evenson, MSN, RN Explore and use our simulation laboratory and get to know more about the nursing field.

Nursing A variety of nursing staff professionals (MA/LPN/RN and possibly Nurse Practitioner) Students will get an overview of the different levels of nursing, education/training, as well as the various settings nurses work in. 4/25 Organization: ThedaCare Date: Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 Time: 9:00am - noon Address: ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton 1818 N. Come and experience the importance of learning CPR and acting quickly in an emergency. You CAN make a difference! Perinatal/ Neonatal Nursing: It s more than just rocking babies Education Specialist, RN Experience 30 minutes in the life of an OB nurse through hands on-activities simulating newborn cares and supporting a mother while she is in labor.

6 Stop the Bleed! Education Specialist, RN, MSN This session will not only provide a look at how careers in healthcare support community education but also will provide all attendees with hands on education to learn how to support a person who is bleeding. This session will help you understand the differences between the many types of therapy. Medical/Surgical Nursing Various Staff A Participative experience where students will get to experience tools and knowledge used by nursing caregivers. Medical Assistants (MA) Role Medical Assistant Staff A broad overview of the MA role in the clinic setting with some hands on activities. 5/21 Organization: Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) Date: Monday, May 21 st, 2018 Time: 9:00 12:00 (registration begins at 8:15) Address: 1825 Bluemound Drive, Appleton Room: HS 114 (entrance 16) Nursing /Simulation RN Lab Instructor(s) This is a walking tour of the Nursing Lab with demonstrations using student training Simulators and equipment. Medical Laboratory Phlebotomy/Lab Instructor Interactive session focusing on laboratory operations, equipment, and demonstrations students will be using lab equipment, simulated blood, and arms.

8 Health Information Technology HIT/Coding Instructor Interactive session and tour of the Health Information playground with demonstrations and discussion using up-to-date industry technology used by current students in the program.
