This session will provide information for the EMS provider as well as hands on experience. 3 hours Pediatric Trauma for all levels of EMS providers. 09:00 10:30 Melody Mesmer Bites and Stings This session will cover the bites and stings that we encounter in Colorado. Symptoms and treatments will be covered. 1.5 hours Medical CEUs for all levels of EMS providers.
3 Different Strokes for Different Folks Adam Compton This session is an interactive, video scenario based lesson covering the aspects of stroke. The session is concluded with a review of different stroke scales with practice application of each. 1.5 hours Medical CEUs for all levels of EMS providers. 10:45 12:00 Don Dustin How Sweet It Is This session will focus on diabetic patients, the role of glucose and the function of hormones in maintaining adequate blood glucose. The Lethal Triad: Everything You Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask Adam Compton Using class presentation this session will explore the effects of shock on the body. Learn those little tricks that can help on that difficult airway. 1 hour Airway CEUs for all levels of EMS providers. 14:15 15:30 Ryan Daugherty Progressing Rural EMS Care and Motivating the Rural Responders This session will be a roundtable to formulate a consensus on identifying new technology, training opportunities, and identifying barriers to patient care in the SLV. Drug Overdoses Ted Andersen So many drug overdoses. What is the best treatment? Recognition of types of drug overdoses and appropriate treatment will be discussed in this session hours Medical CEUs for all levels of EMS providers.
4 Doing Drugs Betsey Strawn This hand on session will focus on drawing the up the actual drug and determining the correct dose. This will include both BLS and ALS drugs. Shake, Rattle, and Roll: Treatment of Pediatric Seizures Adam Compton Seizures are hard enough calls, but what about those pediatric seizures. This session will focus on causes and treatments for pediatric seizure patients. 1.5 hours Pediatric OR Medical CEUs for all levels of EMS providers. Dude: Are You Going to Wash That? Lisa Werts This session will include discussion on contagious diseases, how to treat the patient and also how to keep you and your crew safe. 1.5 hours Preparatory OR Medical CEUs for all levels of EMS providers. 10:15 11:45 Jeanne- Mare Bakehouse State of the State EMS: Hear directly from the State EMS Department what the newest things in Colorado EMS are. Oxygenation and Ventilation Barry Bertin This session will review the different between oxygenation and ventilation and then address treatment modalities for each. 1 hour Airway CEUs for all levels of EMS providers.

This session will include hands on baby delivering experiences using the Birthing Noel manikin.
