2 Welcome to the SOAP 2018 Sol Shnider, M.D. Obstetric Anesthesia Meeting On behalf of the leadership of the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, I would like to enthusiastically welcome you to the Sol Shnider Obstetric Anesthesia Meeting. Our goal for this meeting is to provide practical, high quality educational content for those who practice clinical obstetric anesthesia. Specifically, we have structured the program based on solicited feedback from practitioners and previous meeting attendees. We highlight some of our society s best speakers and content experts, and the deep obstetric anesthesia talent in the bay area. This meeting has an extraordinarily rich history founded by Drs. Sol Shnider, Sam Hughes and Mark Rosen, and it remains one of the premier refresher course programs in obstetric anesthesia in the world. Over the years I have found the audience of the Sol Shnider meeting to be one of best informed and most engaged in our subspecialty practice, and it is clear that we all share a common passion to provide the best outcomes to mothers and babies in the peripartum period. I am proud to present what I hope for you will be an enriching program and meaningful professional experience. I m looking forward to seeing all of you in San Francisco. Sincerely, Chair, Program Committee, Sol Shnider 2018 Meeting Hotel Accommodations A block of rooms has been reserved at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, 345 Stockton Street, San Francisco, California, Room rate is $284 single/double occupancy plus tax.
