We just have to look to last and the years past to know we are always on the positive glide path. I want to say thank you to Charley Wall and all the dedicated board members who dedicated so much time and energy last year to the post. Their hard work clearly paid off; we are only just a few members away from reaching the large post designation and thanks to all your hard work we finished up CY10 with four streamers awarded with distinction! On 15 March 2011 we are looking forward to hearing a a presentation from Joe Remondini, P.E., CFM on Flood Plain Management. Then on April, the Little Rock District takes their turn hosting the Joint Small Business Conference. There is plenty of opportunities to plug in and support the team as we make CY11 the best ever! No single agency has all the answers, but often multiple programs can be leveraged to provide a cohesive solution. Silver Jackets is an innovative program that provides an opportunity to consistently bring together multiple Federal, state, local, and tribal agencies to learn from one another and apply that knowledge to reducing risk. 5 Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo May 24-27, 2011 Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center Grapevine, Texas Welcome to the 2011 JETC website, where you ll find all the information you need on the conference program, registration, lodging, exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities, and more. JETC Technical Program Co-hosted by SAME HQ and the Fort Worth Post, the 2011 JETC features six technical tracks addressing timely issues affecting the A/E/C, facility management and environmental fields. Track 1: Contingency Operations Track 2: Installation management Track 3: Design & Construction Track 4: Water resources Track 5: Energy Track 6: Acquisition The technical program lays the foundation for the conference and is supported by a robust, informational expo area, exciting technical tours and ample networking and social events. If you are interested in speaking at one of these sessions, go to the Technical Program page and download the Speaker Info Form to send to the Track Chair. Expo The 2011 JETC Expo area is set to be one of the largest ever, with companies large and small exhibiting. In addition, each of the uniformed services will be represented and will feature networking lounges for the relaxation and networking pleasure of attendees. Throughout the conference, breaks, lunches, prize drawings and other events will take place in the exhibit hall. You ll also enjoy numerous exclusive exhibit hours, when no other events are scheduled so you can take full advantage of the networking opportunities, as well as the product demonstrations.
