Approval of Minutes Motion by Sam Sentelle, seconded by William Legg, to approve the minutes of the meeting of February 20, 2017, as read. Motion carried. Vote: 5 ayes 0 nays. Recognition Brooke Welch, Hurricane High School Student, has been named one of the top runners-up in the 2017 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards in West Virginia. She will receive an engraved bronze medallion for this honor. Brooke also qualified for the President s Volunteer Service Award. Poca Middle School: Boys Basketball and Wrestling won the Black Diamond Conference. Notice of Public Hearing The Putnam County Board of Education will hold two public hearings regarding the school calendar. The hearings will be held on March 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. and March 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Putnam County Board of Education, located at 77 Courthouse Drive, Winfield, WV Delegations Old Business New Business 1. Budget amendments. Motion by William Legg, seconded by Robert Cunningham, to approve budget supplements and transfers and as shown subject to approval by the West Virginia Department of Education.
