1 Asian Debate League Taiwan National Debate Championship The Asian Debate League would like to invite you to the third annual Asian Debate League Taiwan National Debate Championship. The tournament will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 through Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the International Bilingual School of Tainan (IBST) in Tainan, Taiwan. The tournament will offer public forum, policy, and Lincoln-Douglas debate, extemporaneous speaking and original oratory speech events. Elimination rounds will be based on the number of entries, but it is our hope to have at least semifinal rounds in the debate divisions and a final round in speech. Public forum and policy debate will be divided into public school/esl and private/efl divisions. Double entry in speech events will be allowed, but not in debate - No cross entries between speech and debate. There will not be a tournament hotel, however we will include a list of hotels available near the school. Schools will be required to provide their own judges! Schools should send the names of judges when registering for the tournament. If a school cannot provide a judge, the ADL will find judges for you, but will assess a fee. The ratios and fees are listed below. Registration: The deadline for registration is Friday, May 1, Fees will be collected at the registration. Registration will be at IBST on Friday, May 15 from 3:30 4:30 pm. Please call or if you will be late! We reserve the right to adjust the schedule based on the number of entries. However, we GUARANTEE at least a final round in EVERY DIVISION. We will hold separate elimination rounds for international competitors in public forum!
