2 The Call for Abstracts will be closed on 28 Feburary Abstracts are invited in the following areas: papers involving ICF and ICF-CY in social welfare, education, medicine, and other related fields. Abstract review and presentation: Our society will invite professional experts to review the abstract submissions. Six oral presentations will be selected from the authors who wish to present orally when they submitted. The others will be invited to present in a poster format. Oral presenters should present during the designated time of the conference. Poster presenters should display their posters in the specified area, and be present during the time for Poster Presentation to take questions and discuss with other audiences. Authors who submit their abstracts agree to authorize Taiwan Society of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (TSICF) to publish the abstracts in a conference proceeding, accept videotaping, photo-shooting, and tape-recording during this conference, and agree with any form of non-profit public presentation and publish. To enable collection of the conference proceeding, our society has the right to edit the layout of all abstract submissions. All presenters of accepted abstracts for both oral and poster presentations are required to complete the registration process for the conference, otherwise their abstracts will not be included in the conference proceeding (will apply for ISBN numbers). Instructions for Abstract Submission: 1. Abstract submission is limited to unpublished papers, except for those with amendment. 2. The presenter s name for both oral and poster presentations should be underlined. 3. We accept both Chinese and English abstracts, but the titles and authors names should contain both Chinese and English versions (Authors from foreign countries will only need to put their English names), in the order of Chinese followed by English. 4. Title should be typed in 14 font size and bolded, authors names, institutions and abstract should be typed in 12 font size, single-space, with the word limit of All margins are set at 2.54 cm. Times New Roman font should be used. Add a blank line between the tile and author s names, between authors names and their institutions, between institutions and abstract, and between abstract and key words. The tile, author s names, and institutions should be centralized. Please refer to the Sample Abstract for more details. 5. Research abstract should include the following sections: Background and Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and these section headings should be bolded (please refer to the Sample Abstract). This format does not apply to case report and descriptive research. 6. Submissions including the Abstract and the Author s Basic Information Form (attached as the following) must be sent by corresponding authors via . At conceptual level, the framework emphasized that the Body Functions (b) and Structures (s) and Activities and Participation (d) are the results of the interactions between Health Condition and Environmental Factors (e). The purpose of this study was to establish and test the hypothetical ICF-CY based models to explain the motor outcomes (d4 mobility in ICF-CY) in infants and toddlers with motor delay Methods: Systematic reviews were used to conduct and establish the hypothetical ICF-CY based models, and to identify the measures in ICF-CY components for predicting mobility in infants and toddlers with motor delay. A convenient sample of motor delayed infants and toddlers at age 6-24 months old (n=130) and their families from Northern Taiwan participated in the study. The measures included developmental tests and questionnaires which related to the following categories in ICF-CY components: (1) Motor Severity (Health Condition); (2) Body Functions (Muscle Power Functions (b730), Muscle Tone Functions (b735), Involuntary Movement Reaction Functions (b755),cognitive DQ (b163), Motivation (b130)); (3) Activities and Participation (The developmental ages of Stationary (d415) and Locomotion (d450-d469) subtests of Peabody Developmental Motor Scales 2nd Edition, and Scale score of Mobility (d ) subtest of Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory-Chinese Version); and (4) Environmental Factors (Motor Toys (e115), Learning Material (e130), Physical Home Environment Arrangement (e155), Responsivity and Involvement (e310), and Needs (e410)); (5) Personal factors: (Age). The data were analyzed with MacArthur mediation framework and multiple mediator model approach for three mediating paths: (1) Health Condition Environmental Factors Body Functions, (2) Heath Condition Environmental Factors Motor outcomes, (3) Health Condition Body Functions

5 Motor outcomes. Bootstrapping technique for avoiding the bias in small sample size and Bayesian multiple imputations for missing data were applied (alpha set at 0.10). Results: The derived ICF-CY models portrayed significant pathways among the ICF-CY categories. Motor Severity could predict Body Functions and Motor Outcomes. Most Body Function categories mediated the relationship between Health Condition and Motor outcomes. Needs (Environmental Factors) could be the mediators between Health Condition and child Motivation (Body Functions). Responsivity and Involvement and Learning Material could predict Cognitive function and the ability in Functional Mobility. Conclusion: The derived ICF-CY based models for Mobility (d4) provide a possible explanation for the motor outcomes of infants and toddlers with motor delay, supporting the ICF-CY as a framework for clinical decisions.
