2 Welcome ack! ear lass of 2022, It is my pleasure to welcome you back to Virginia Wesleyan University for our second segment of Marlin Nation Orientation. s you continue your acclimation and become more familiar with our exciting campus, I look forward to sharing this first-year experience with all of you. s a graduate of a private liberal arts college myself, I commend you on choosing Virginia Wesleyan. ou are about to embark on an incredible journey for the next four years -- a journey that will have a profound impact on your future. The next few days will prepare you for the start of your journey. ou will learn more about campus life and our Wesleyan traditions, you ll meet new friends and faculty, and gain knowledge about the many opportunities and resources on campus that will support your efforts. ou ll also have the chance to explore oastal Virginia and take advantage of our beautiful surroundings and unique location. I wish each of you a very successful experience at Virginia Wesleyan University. chieving this success will require balance. ou will be devoting a lot of energy to your studies, spending time in and out of the classroom reading, researching, and completing assignments. ou will also want to get involved in some of the many activities on campus and in our greater community. From clubs and organizations to athletics and ecx, there is always something to do. From the very start, I encourage you to balance your time so that you will be successful both academically and socially. This is also a great time to make new connections. y getting involved on campus, you will have opportunities to meet interesting people and develop relationships that will most likely last a lifetime. There are many resources and people on campus who can support you throughout your college years, so please take advantage of their expertise, services and support.
