Student of the Year (S6) Kirsty Millar For outstanding performance and lasting contribution in S6. Tonight s Guest Speaker... We are pleased to announce that tonight s guest speaker is Alan Clements. Alan was born in Stranraer and attended Stranraer Academy, leaving school in He studied History and Political Science at the University of Glasgow before winning a scholarship to further his studies at the University of Pennsylvania. After working for several years for the BBC, in 1990 he formed the independent television production company, Wark Clements & Co, with his wife Kirsty Wark.
