14 Accreditation & CME Credit Information INTENDED OUTCOMES OF THE CME PROGRAM ACOEP CME activities are designed to offer tools, strategies, and practical skills which emergency healthcare professionals can immediately integrate into their daily practice. At the conclusion of the 2018 Scientific Assembly participants will be able to: Alter their current practice patterns in accordance with the latest data. Apply and/or perform new techniques based on best practices. Practice evidence-based, informed emergency medicine. Demonstrate change in competence and performance to improve patient care. ACCREDITATION & CREDIT STATEMENTS Credit amounts are subject to change. ACOEP will communicate final credit totals to learners prior to the start of the conference via the onsite program and conference website. ACOEP is accredited by the AOA to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. ACOEP designates this program for a maximum of of AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician s participation in the activity. A maximum of CME credits may be earned for the general conference. Additional CME credits may be earned from participating in special conference events (i.e. workshops) not to exceed CME credits. MD Learners CME credit for MD learners participating in this activity will be available. Specific credit amounts will be communicated to learners upon approval from the accrediting organization. Allied Health Learners American Academy of Physician Assistants This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined. American Association of Nurse Practitioners This education activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval up contact hours of accredited education.
