9 "Stop the Bleed" is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives. No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss. Be sure to take part in this FREE opportunity! Trainings will be held: Open to All! April 7, 2017 at 9am at Wyandot Memorial Hospital May 5, 2017 at 9 am at Carey EMS Please call (419) x2267 to reserve your seat! Remember to be aware of your surroundings and move yourself and the injured person to safety, if necessary. Call 911 The Stop the Bleed campaign is a part of a Homeland Security initiative to get individuals, parents, business owners, and community leaders involved to build better, safer communities. The campaign is presented locally through partnerships with Central Ohio Trauma Systems, Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Wyandot County Public Health, and the Wyandot County Healthcare Coalition. FREE Tourniquets will be supplied to class participants (while supplies last, number of tourniquets supplied to each participating organization varies).
