1 MINUTES HOTEL / MOTEL BOARD SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY, MARCH 6 TH, :30 P.M. THE HOTEL / MOTEL BOARD MET IN SPECIAL SESSION IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER, 12 NORTH ROWE, PRYOR CREEK, OKLAHOMA AT THE ABOVE DATE AND TIME. BOARD MEMBERS: ** RANDY CHITWOOD, TARA WALLACE, TRACEY DEAN AND EVETT BARHAM 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chairman Randy Chitwood. Members present: Chairman Randy Chitwood, Tara Wallace, Evett Barham and Tracey Dean. Members absent: none. Others present: Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce President Barbara Hawkins, Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce Representative Sarah Wallace, Pryor Main Street Director Donna Moore. 2. DISCUSS, POSSIBLY APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 13 TH, 2017 SPECIAL MEETING. Motion was made by Wallace, second by Barham to approve minutes of February 13 th, 2017 special meeting. All voted yes. 3. DISCUSS, POSSIBLY RECOMMEND COUNCIL ACTION TO APPROVE GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $2, TO PRYOR MAIN STREET FOR THE THIRD THURSDAY EVENTS, SCHEDULED FOR APRIL THROUGH JUNE Motion was made by Barham, second by Dean to recommend Council action to approve Grant Application in the amount of $2, to Pryor Main Street for the Third Thursday Events, scheduled for April through June All voted yes. 4. DISCUSS, POSSIBLY RECOMMEND COUNCIL ACTION TO APPROVE HOTEL / MOTEL GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $2, FROM PRYOR AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE 2017 AMERICAN COWBOY TRADER S DAY. Motion was made by Dean, second by Wallace to recommend Council action to approve Hotel / Motel Grant Application in the amount of $2, from Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2017 American Cowboy Trader s Day. All voted yes. 5. SCHEDULE NEXT BOARD MEETING. The Board agreed to wait to schedule the next meeting until we have new agenda items. 6. ADJOURN. As of June 1st, 2017, I will not be returning to this board; however, will remain one of the program s biggest supporters. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this board. 35 This year was our 19th year to host the Missoula Children's Theatre in Pryor, Oklahoma. Forty-seven children from Pryor and the surrounding areas in Mayes County participated in the production. The musical production was fantastic. The children participating did an awesome job. The audience enjoyed the performance immensely.
