Every month, nearly 21,000 Laval residents call on the help of our beneficiary organisations. In order to contribute to the advancement of the project and the awareness of the community, the support of our partners is essential. Join us!

4 MESSAGE FROM THE CO-CHAIRS «Community spirit and mutual assistance are very present in the Chamber and among the Laval business people we represent. That's why we agreed to co-chair the campaign this year. Corporate citizens care about the common good and about the health of their socio-economic environment. If we can combine our strengths, make a difference and have positive and lasting impacts on our region and the families who live there, then we will. With some 12,000 businesses in our area of responsibility, we are convinced that the Guignolée des médias de Laval will be a success. 5 THE PROJECT IN A FEW WORDS The Grande guignolée des médias will take place on Thursday, December 7, The traditional annual gathering day at street corners will again be one of solidarity. Over a hundred media representatives and thousands of volunteers will unite across Quebec to collect non-perishable food and cash donations to help our poorest people. It is under the co-chairmanship of Ms. Chantal Provost and Mr. Yves D'Astous that we will celebrate mutual help. The participation of the Laval companies and the 400 volunteers who will collect the cash and food donations at the numerous collection points of the city is necessary to ensure the success of this important fundraising event that helps people living in a precarious financial situation. 4

6 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR 10% of Quebec families live below the threshold of poverty. Every month, more than 21,000 people in the Laval region resort to food aid.
