Conveniently located at Union Station with easy access to the Dome via the city s MetroLink system, the Hyatt offers four-star accommodations at a special MSHSAA media rate of $89 per night, beginning November 27. Please call and request the Show-Me Bowl Media rate. This special rate is only available until November 29 by calling the reservation number listed. A valid credit card is required for all reservations. In addition, a valid gate pass (tan color) is required for admittance to the Dome. Admittance will not be granted without the event gate pass and Show-Me Bowl credential. Please enter through the Central entrance. Locker rooms are closed to all media throughout this event. LOCKER ROOMS Team and officials locker rooms are CLOSED at all times during the Show-Me Bowl. Violation of this policy is considered trespassing and will result in revocation of credentials and immediate removal from the premises. Your cooperation in respecting the privacy of all students in the dressing areas is expected and appreciated. All postgame interviews should be conducted in the interview room ( 150). CREDENTIAL DISTRIBUTION All credentials must be claimed at the Will Call desk inside the Central lobby at the Edward Jones Dome, beginning at 8 a.m., November 28 and 10 a.m. November 29. A valid photo ID is required for credential pick-up. All bags are subject to random search by Dome security. Outlets requesting advance credential distribution should contact Jason West to make arrangements for pickup on November Credentials will not be mailed. MEDIA WORK AREAS The press box on Level 6 of the Edward Jones Dome will open at 10 a.m., both days of the event (November 28-29) and remain open one hour after the conclusion of the final postgame press conference each night. All press conferences will take place in Room 150. REFERENCE & STYLE GUIDE The official name of this event is the 2008 MSHSAA Show-Me Bowl. Its secondary title is the 41st MSHSAA Football Championships. In formal references, please do not refer to this event as the state football finals or similar title. Please use the MSHSAA logo in your news/sports coverage (available in the press box or by request). The Missouri State High School Activities Association may be referred to as MSHSAA (pronounced mish-uh -- NOT mee-shuh). The facility is known as the Edward Jones Dome. MEDIA HOSPITALITY Ice and soft drink service is available at no charge on Level 6 of the press box, beginning at 11:30 a.m. both days of the event. Please report any soda or ice shortages to the media coordinator in the press box. Food is available on a cash-and-carry basis from any of the Dome concession areas. Take the elevator back to Central, and then take the Handicap Accessible Elevator (adjacent to the press box elevator) to the main seating areas and then to the concession stands.

Trophy and medal presentations will take place after each game between the 40-yard lines in front of each team s bench area. On-field interviews are not permitted prior to medal and trophy presentations. PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS It is necessary that all sideline photography take place outside of the team bench areas (between 25-yard lines) and behind the 10-foot broken line that surrounds the field. Per NFHS Football Rules, no media personnel (reporters or photographers) are allowed in the team bench area at any time. Individuals who enter the team bench area or cross the 10-foot line will be warned on first offense and removed on the second. All live shots must be coordinated by the MSHSAA in advance. We request that all televised highlights of the MSHSAA Show- Me Bowl be accompanied by the official MSHSAA logo. INTERVIEW POLICIES -- Pregame No player interviews will be permitted once the teams take the field for pregame warm-ups. Coaches are available up until 30 minutes prior to kickoff for prearranged interviews on the field. All players and coaches clear the field 30 minutes prior to kickoff. -- Locker Rooms Team and officials locker rooms are CLOSED at all times during the Show-Me Bowl. Violation of this policy is considered trespassing and will result in immediate removal from the premises. Your cooperation in respecting the dignity of all students in the dressing areas is expected and appreciated. -- Halftime Radio stations must make arrangements to pre-record halftime interviews with non-credentialed individuals. Credentials will not be issued to halftime, pregame or postgame guests. Coaches are not available for halftime comments, except where provided in rights granted to FSN Midwest for the game telecasts. -- Postgame Immediately following postgame trophy and medal presentations, a 10-minute cooling off period has been established for coaches and players of both teams. On-field interviews are prohibited before the awards presentation and during the cooling-off period,, except where provided in rights granted to FSN Midwest for the game telecasts. After the cooling-off period, the winning coach and requested players will appear in Room 150 for the formal postgame press conference. Any one-on-one interviews may take place afterwards. The runner-up head coach and requested players will appear second in the interview room with a one-on-one period to follow. There are to be no one-on-ones or other interviews prior to the postgame press conference. It is the responsibility of all sports editors and reporters to share these regulations with their staff writers, reporters and photographers. Head coaches reserve the right to select which players are available for postgame interviews. Your cooperation in expediting the postgame process is expected and appreciated. -- Live Radio & TV Postgame Radio and TV stations conducting live broadcasts may get a brief comment from a coach (no players) as he walks from the field. However, this must be done by wireless mic and will be limited to one minute as the coach is walking off the field. Regardless of any personal, regular-season radio or television arrangements, the coach is first obligated to the entire media staffing the event after the cooling-off period ends. After fulfilling this commitment to the media staffing the event, the coach and players may participate in other interviews. 4 MEDIA ENTRANCE The Central entrance on the east side of the Dome is the media entrance for the Show-Me Bowl. Once inside the lobby at Central, please go the designated media check-in table to your left not the main desk. Once you have picked up you credentials, you may enter the playing field through the marked double doors or go to the working press area via the Press Elevator to Level 6. You will receive your program and any necessary information at the media check-in table at Central. HANDICAP ENTRANCE The Central entrance is also the handicap-accessible entrance for spectators and media representatives. TICKETS Tickets are available four ways. 1) They may be ordered in advance through the MSHSAA office by calling (573) between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Payment for all advance orders must be received in full before tickets are shipped. 2) Advance tickets are also available at qualifying schools during the week leading up to the Show-Me Bowl. 3) All St. Louis-area TicketMaster locations ( have Show-Me Bowl tickets available. 4) Tickets are also available at the door on game days. All tickets are $11 and are good for all three games each day. All seating is general admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be two entry ways for the general public -- visiting teams (bottom of the bracket) are encouraged to enter through Entry A, while home teams (top of bracket) should use Entry B. Re-entry to the facility is permitted with an appropriate hand stamp. A different stamp will be used each day and may be obtained through the pass-out gates. STATISTICS & GAME NOTES Game programs will be provided upon check-in at the Central media check-in table. Team rosters, results and limited statistical information are located in the program. Any additional notes will be available in the press box if available. Official statistics will be kept and distributed at halftime (in the press box) and at the end of the game (in the press box and interview room 150). Quotes will not be provided. FAN SEATING & FACILITY AMENITIES Gates open at 11 a.m. both days for fan admission. Home teams (top teams on the bracket) will sit on the east side of the Dome in Sections and should enter through Entry B. Visitors will sit on the west side in Sections and should enter the Dome through Entry A. Reserved school cheer sections are Section 113 for home teams and Section 141 for visiting teams. Traditions teams (1987) will occupy section 120. Only requests by registered media outlets requesting credentials for legitimate fulltime or significant part-time employees will be honored. Validation, such as a Missouri Press Association membership card, may be requested. Working press credentials will not be issued to minors, parents of participants, high school coaches, guests or family members of bona fide media representatives. RESULTS, STATS, BRACKETS Updated playoff brackets and final Show-Me Bowl final box scores are available on playoff game days on the MSHSAA web site ( Click on the box score icon on the bracket you want to get the championship box scores. The press box at the Dome is also available for scores and updates on Nov by calling (314) PARKING FOR SATELLITE TRUCKS There is a limited number of satellite truck parking positions available adjacent to the Edward Jones Dome. Media should submit requests to Jim Delaney at the Edward Jones Dome by calling (314) TELEPHONES, WIRELESS INTERNET, ETHERNET Pool phones line with local and toll-free access are located at seat positions 30 and 60 in the main press box on Level 6. Media interested in obtaining private phone lines, ethernet drops or wireless internet access should contact Edward Jones Dome Telecommunications at (314) for arrangements. When contacting Dome Telecommunications, daily newspapers may request lines at positions 18-34, and all other media outlets may request lines at positions or RADIO STATION BROADCAST LINES The MSHSAA has made all arrangements to have broadcast phone lines installed in the press box at the Dome. There is no charge to originating stations for these lines, but all stations are reminded that the broadcast rights fee for live radio broadcasts from the Show-Me Bowl is $25 per game, per station. This fee must be paid in advance and be accompanied by a MSHSAA Radio Broadcast Agreement Form and list of broadcast sponsors before your broadcast may begin. Upon arrival, please check-in with David Palmeiro, Show-Me Bowl radio broadcast coordinator, on Level 6 of the press box. He will make your line assignments and collect the rights fee and appropriate paperwork. The following lines are reserved for radio broadcasts: Row 1 - Seat 42 - (314) Seat 49 - (314) Seat 54 - (314) Row 2 - Seat 33 - (314) Seat 39 - (314) Seat 45 - (314) Broadcasters are reminded to make arrangements with your station to cover your long distance calls prior to coming to St. Louis. You will not be permitted to make long-distance calls from your assigned phone lines, but will have limited access to tollfree, local or operator-assisted numbers. There is a 75-cent charge by the Dome for each outgoing call you make. FSN TELECASTS The MSHSAA is in its 10th year working with FSN Midwest to carry the Class 1, Class 3 and Class 5 Championship games live on Friday. The Show-Me Bowl will air regionally on Fox Sports Midwest and Fox Sports Kansas City, which reach more than 4.5 million cable cable and satellite television homes in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and Iowa. Fox Sports Indiana, which reaches an additional 1.2 million homes, will air the Class 1 game. 5 MEDIA AND PUBLIC PARKING There are a number of public parking lots and garages in the vicinity of the Edward Jones Dome, however, the facility does not provide reserved media parking for this event. Please make plans to arrive early enough to obtain downtown parking. There will be parking charges assessed to you at most locations, so please be prepared to pay event-day charges at downtown garages and lots. There is an unloading lane on, near the Central entrance to the Edward Jones Dome, but this not a permanent parking location. You may unload equipment at this location or pick up creentials. Due to increased security, be prepared to have all bags and equipment checked by Dome security upon arrival. That $25 be paid to the Missouri State High School Activities Association for each contest to be broadcast (semifinals through finals); and that the total sum is submitted with this agreement. No fee is charged for District, Sectional or Quarterfinal-level contests, however internet audiocasts (not simulcasts) carry a $50 rights fee per game for a delayed broadcast and a $150 per game charge for a live broadcast. 2. That the company provide competent and professional-like announcers and broadcasting; and that no dramatization shall be made of any unsportsmanlike conduct, incidents or displays on the part of the participants or fans. 3. That the station will run two public service spot announcements provided by the MSHSAA during each broadcast. 4. That the station give advance publicity to the event for the three days preceding the event and that the advance publicity shall contain information on contestants, contest date, contest time, contest site, and all ticket prices. 5. That no individual or organization be permitted to sponsor any or all of the broadcast for the purpose of advertising alcoholic beverages, tobacco, lotteries, gambling locations, adult services or products, or any other product which is contrary to the principles of good athletic training or interscholastics. 6. That no political parties or candidates be allowed to sponsor any or all of the broadcast. 7. That the station requesting broadcast rights provides a list of the broadcast s sponsors and advertisers to the tournament manager before the broadcast. 8. That the MSHSAA Board of Directors reserves the right to revoke the broadcasting rights and/or discontinue the broadcast at any time in the event previous broadcasting by that station is considered to have been in poor taste or incompatible with the educational values of the Missouri State High School Activities Association. 9. That this agreement is for over-the-air broadcast rights only. Any reproduction or copy of this broadcast shall not be sold or distributed without prior written consent of the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
