3 Facilities - Overview Bluefield College Campus: 3000 College Ave. While most athletic facilities are located off the Bluefield College campus, teams may need to visit campus for athletic training or post-game needs, including uses of showers or locker rooms--all found at the Dome Gymnasium. Should your team need to visit campus before or after competition, please communicate with the Bluefield College coach of your sport, or with the on-site event manager on game day. C B - Bowen Field Baseball B C - Bluefield City Tennis Courts Men s & Women s Tennis D - Mitchell Stadium Football Bowen Field, Bluefield City Tennis Courts and Mitchell Stadium are all part of Bluefield City Park: 1780 Stadium Drive Bluefield, WV A To: 460, I-77 E - Softball Field Softball E Bluefield hosts its home games at a softball facility located in Bluefield Virginia Industrial Park, directly behind Bluefield Beverage Co. at: 219 Industrial Park Rd. F - East River Soccer Complex Men s & Women s Soccer The East River Soccer Complex is easily accessible by taking Exit 1 off Interstate-77 to Bluefield, W. Va. It is located on John Nash Boulevard/ Rte 52. F

5 Gameday Information Athletic Training Head Trainer: Erika Bell The Bluefield Athletic Training Staff would like to welcome you to Bluefield College! Details for our different sports are below. If you will need anything other than what is normally provided, or use our athletic training room before a competition, please or call before your arrival so we may accomodate your needs. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you. Football Concerning football game days, the staff will provide basic athletic training room essentials: Hydrocollator and e-stim machine under tent, outside locker room 10-gallon cooler with ice water and cups in the locker room, and a cooler of injury ice Sideline: Four 10-gallon coolers with ice water, injury ice & hose attached to water spicket Crutch and splint bag, AED and helmet removal kit on home sideline At this time, no physicians attend games, but EMTs will be present Indoor Sports (Basketball, Volleyball) Our athletic training room is located just off the Dome Gymnasium floor, on the North side. Visiting teams will have full access to our athletic training room equipment including our taping tables. We also offer heat, ice, e-stim, ultrasound and whirlpools. If you have an athlete who requires e-astim or ultrasound and the visiting ATC is not present, please send a letter with requested parameters with your athlete. On the bench you will be provided with: A seven or 10-gallon cooler of ice water and cups AED, crutches and splint bag if needed Offsite Sports (Baseball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis) At this time, we cannot provide any modalities but ice to our offsite fields. However, you have the option of visiting our athletic training room before heading to the field. Our athletic training room is located just off the Dome Gymnasium floor, on the North side of the gym. Visiting teams will have full access to our athletic training room equipment including our taping tables. We offer heat-ice, e-stim, ultrasound and whirlpools. If you have an athlete who requires e-stim or ultrasound and the visiting ATC is not present, please send a letter with requested parameters with your athlete. 6 Gameday Information Sports Information Director: Bob Redd It is requested that all visiting sports information personnel and visiting media members notify the Sports Information Director at least 24 hours in advance of competition, so proper accommodations may be made. This includes radio crews. Internet use is available at the Dome Gymnasium, but it is recommended that a wifi card be utilized at off-campus athletic facilities. The Bluefield College sports information staff will typically have a wifi card on hand, but it can only be used for low-data internet usage. When available, live stat links are easily found on the BCRams.com homepage. Full game stats for most sports will be available post-game. Game files will be sent to opposing team SIDs. Accomodations will also be made for additional reasonable requests. Select Bluefield College sports events are streamed online, available by clicking the Live Streaming link under Multimedia at BCRams.com.
