10 10 PARKS AND RECREATION PUBLIC FACILITIES PARK PAVILIONS: FACILITY RENTALS Park Facilities are available for private rental for parties, picnics and social events. Make reservations Monday through Friday, 8am 5pm at the City of Edinburg Sports and Wellness Center 315 E. Palm Dr. ATHLETIC FIELDS: The Park Pavilion rental fee shall be paid 30 days prior to the event date and the Athletic Field rental fee shall be paid 7 days prior to the event date.

12 Fountain Pool 12 The Edinburg Municipal Waterpark is a three (3) pool facitlity which features a 125 foot long figure eight water slide. other amentities include a sand-pit volleyball court, tanning area, B.B.Q. grills, picnic tables, and water basketball. The waterpark is located at 125 E. Palm Drive, and will be open to the public beginning Saturday, May 28, For information, call Waterpark Hours: Monday - Sunday: Saturday Evening: Fees: 0-6 years of age: $ years of age: $ years and older: $2.00 PUBLIC SWIMMING FACILITIES 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. Discount swim passes are available: 0-6 years: $15 = 15 swims 7-54 years: $22.50 = 15 swims Evening Swim Evening Swimming is held at the Edinburg Municipal Waterpark on Saturday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. Barbecue grills are available, as well as other facitlity amenties, on a first come first serve basis. Public Swim at Fountain Pool: ( Will open July 3, 2018 ) The Fountain Swimming Pool is a kidney shaped swimming pool, which contains bathing faciliteis, a 70 foot waterslide, a sand-pit volleyball court, tetherball, B.B.Q. grill, and a picnic area. Founatin pool is located at 1227 E. McIntyre, and will be open to the public beginning July. For more information, call Edinburg Recreation Department at EDINBURG SPLASH PAD The Edinburg Splash Pad is a great way to kick off summer. Water rings, bucket drops and fun showers are just a few of the great features this park has to offer. Great for children of all ages, and no admission fee. This pad is the place to be. Located on 18th & Freddy Gonzalez. 13 13 EDINBURG T.A.A.F. SWIM TEAM This program is available to participants 6-15 years of age, who have gone through Level IV, or has the ability to perform the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breastroke, butterfly, swim 50 yards comfortably, and wish to swim competitively in or out of the Valley. Swimming meets are scheduled throught the summer. Swim meet schedule will be provided by the swim coach. Please call for more information at (956) Space is limited. AQUA JOGGING This is an excellent way to run with less stress on the leg joints and lower back. The aqua belt suspends indiividuals in a vertical position while running in the water. Swimming ability required. Class is for participants 15 years and older. Fee: $75 The cost for swim uniform, swim meet entry are to be paid by the participants. Only Regional Qualifier will participate in State Meet! Fees: $1.00 per visit or $10.00 for a 15 visit swim pass AQUA AEROBICS Take a dip for the fit of it. This excellent exercise is a fast pace water aerobics program, with little stress on the joints. Fitness paddles offer resistance in the water to help tone and strenthen muscles. Swimming ability is not required and classes are offered to participants 15 years of age and older. (Aqua Socks recommended) Maximum Enrollment: 25 participants LAP SWIMMING What a better way to get into shape than by swimming Laps! Swim at your own pace. A qualified instructor will be on duty to assist in stroke development and consultation. This activity is for participants 15 years and older. Registration Dates Listed on Page 12 for Sessions.
